hi aayushma!

first, a word about the terms "true node" and "mean node," which are the two different ways of calculating the Moon's North Node.

the Moon's Nodes move backwards thru the Zodiac at a rate of one revolution every 18.5 years. when astronomers calculate the "mean node," they take the rate of motion of the nodes and sortov average it out, the result of which is the so-called "mean node."

actually, the NODES "wobble" a bit. when sophisticated instruments became available to measure this wobble, astronomers began to plot this wobble's course and called this position the "true node."

although the Nodes move around the Zodiac in a retrograde direction, the True Node is sometimes DIRECT. the Mean Node is always retrograde, though.

there is no agreement among astrologers as to which is better to use in chart analysis, according to to MOLLY'S ASTROLOGY, my source for the foregoing statements. the mean and true nodes are never more than a few degrees away from each other, so it probably doesn't matter much which of the two is eventually used, in MOLLY's opinion.

i hope that clears up some of your questions on the nodes, aayushma.

with the "true" and the "mean" node now differentiated as such, aayushma, maybe you want to know now what our respective NORTH NODE placements signify.

there is an excellent book out there that is worth reading ---and owning, if it comes to that. (i do have it in my personal library and may i say that it is worth the investment.) the book is called ASTROLOGY FOR THE SOUL by JAN SPILLER. a truly excellent excellent book for really understanding one's soul purpose based on where one's North Node is by sign and house! very comprehensive, thorough, scientific--- yet humane, accessible, understandable, full of heart and compassion. you will see yourself mirrored on its pages, and you will clearly see which direction you ought to take from there towards further growth and development in spirit, soul, and body.

it talks of soul potential and oh! so much more. i urge you, aayushma, to do your own research into this wonderful, soul-enriching book! ASTROLOGY FOR THE SOUL BY JAN SPILLER... happy reading!!!

as for the overview of your chart, my dear, i promise to come up with it soon. please be patient with me, OK. "i have promises to keep and miles to go before i sleep...," to paraphrase Robert Frost... and I'm doing a poor job of it, too...

Hi there, aayushma!

As promised, here follows a very brief overview of your chart.I do not claim to discuss each and every nuance of your chart. Again, this shall just be a very brief overview. I leave the rest for you to research and stumble upon in merry serendipity ...

First of all, you were born on a Wednesday, so your Guardian Angel is St. Uriel, the Archangel of Justice. (OK, Guardian Angels for the rest of the weekdays are as follows, in Roman Catholic lore, at least: Monday-St. Gabriel the special messenger; Tuesday-St. Raphael the healer & guide of Christian pilgrims; Wed.-St. Uriel the archangel of justice; Thu.-St. Zadkiel the arch. of worship and contemplation; Fri-St.Jofiel the arch. of divine mercy; Sat.-St. Barachiel the arch. of divine providence; and Sun. St. Michael the prince of heavenly hosts.)

Next, your Sun-Moon blend is, of course, Sun in Aquarius-Moon in Aries, and the renowned astrologer, Noel Tyl, in his seminal and comprehensive textbook, "Synthesis and Counseling in Astrology: The Professional Manual (1998)," describes this combination as such (and I quote): " The Aquarius energy is to innovate, to ally oneself with others, to be socially significant. When this energy is focused into the reigning need to be Number One, to be important, the blend is exceptionally apt. Grant Lewi wrote: 'You have a quick, aggressive mind, a keen sense of your own intellectual powers, a sort of judicial attitude toward the rest of the world. This is one of the positions of genuine superiority complex.' The mind is really on fire here. The social balance must be considered in order for the mental and ego display powers to work together efficiently." ...And then Tyl goes on to mention Alan Alda and Placido Domingo as examples of those with this Sun-Moon blend.

As to the Jones pattern evident in your chart (just pls google the term "jones pattern" later, aayushma), yours is the so-called "bowl" pattern, my dear, which just means that, looking at your chart, (now go on and look at your own chart as generated by www.astro.com, my dear), you can see that all of your planets, except Chiron, are concentrated on the right half of your chart, thus forming a bowl!

And what does this mean? A concentration of planets on this Western hemisphere or right half of the chart tells us that you are an others-oriented person, but you may tend to give your power away. Well, don't, my dear, and learn to keep some power to yourself! Conserve your energies, and keep some of your secrets to yourself. On the other hand, this means that you are well suited to pursuits that put you out there in the public arena, intermingling and interacting with the world at large. Consequently, there will be things that you'll do very very well, and there are things that will just sail way above your head. Play to your strengths and emphasize them, and learn to make allowances for your areas of weakness.
Bonus book recommendations: Kindly read "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene.

Now let's tackle your soul potential, and for this we go to your North Node, which is in Gemini in the 12th house. For this, I refer to Jan Spiller's book, "Astrology for the Soul."

If your NORTH NODE IS IN GEMINI, here are some attributes to develop: Work in these areas can help uncover hidden gifts and talents:
-healthy curiosity
-asking questions to learn how others think
-seeing both sides of a situation
-tact
-logic
-communication of internal dichotomies
-a positive approach to life and other people
-purposely cheering up others
-using a nonthreatening approach when expressing ideas
-listening
-openness to new ideas and experiences
-seeking factual information before making decisions

AND here are tendencies to leave behind: Working to reduce the influence of these tendencies can help make life easier and more enjoyable:
-self-righteousness
-aloofness
-assuming others know "where they're at"
-thinking one knows what others are saying without really listening
-needing to be right
-espousing "Truth", without taking others' views into account
-careless spontaneity
-taking shortcuts
-taking oneself too seriously; having a ponderous approach to life
-acting on intuition without checking the facts
-resisting ideas that are foreign to one's belief system
-prejudging present situations on the basis of past experience

Bottomline, my dear: It's just impossible to be right all the time, so just relax on this tendency to be self-righteous and just be kewl, OK...!

and so goes my simplified overview of your chart, dear aayushma... i leave the rest of the research and discovery up to you.... happy hunting.... the clues to your self-discovery are there for the taking.... only the brave and the true dare undertake the journey... so blessed be!
