Should I give up on this?

hmm...I don't. He and I are very strange. I've given up. It was too emotional and I was starting to get terribly negative towards him. We met in february randomly. He came in my cafe for carrot juice, he slipped me a candle. I ran after him when he left to get his number. I never did that. He didn't call, but he came back the next day. I gave him origami. We liked each other instantly. No joke. We went out a few times, talked alot made out in the street alot intill we finally slept with each other. Then, he cut it...just shut down. Then it seemed we argued for months...not bad arguing just discussing why to him we can't be together and why to me we should. He cared for me a great deal he kept emphasizing. Meanwhile sending me small gifts in the form of music, still we talked endlessly and sometimes kissing. So I found out that his past was a bit difficult. He had been with this girl for Four years that he lived with. They both went on vacation with a friend of theirs, she ended up falling in love with this guy and leaving Francois (scorpio) in the country they were in and continuing on with the next guy. He got back to france, packed his bags and took a job working in the States for two years. his ex still trys to talk to him about her life, which he can't help but help. Even though she is still living with the guy she dumped Francois for. So Francois, doesn't want to have a relationship with anyone. That includes me. Thats why he cut it off. Thats why he wants frivilous relationships and me that propose depth he keeps at arms length. And the whole situation makes me miserable, cause I don't date much, I'm a loner in that regard. Its hard for me to find someone who I get along with, I've been alone for a long time. Andf I think it utterly mean that universe put someone like him to cross my path. We were having a good time in till we realized this could be the possibility of love. Anyway, I moved away from the city he was in. Moved back home for school. I have alot to finish up in my life. He came to visit my city a month after I moved back home. We had a great time. We actually slept with each other. We talked alot. But when I dropped him at the airport, he said I was like a sister to him. I walked away without saying goodbye to that. He tried to send me music to make me feel better. We stopped talking now.
Hes the kind of person that works to cover his pain. He has yet to go visit back home, even though his mother is sick. he says he doesn't miss home, like he shuts off. I am the opposite, I believe in expressing yourself. But its all in our charts, we are opposites...but a like. Yin Yang. We once actually took a picture of our hands cupped together, and since I'm black and he's white it made a yin yang. And I'm so depressed and trying to snap out of it and ****** off at the universe for putting him in my conscience. But I've sworn not to talk to him again, all you can do is respect what people want and I will forget him...Its the responsible thing to do.

I haven't talk to him a long while, no more long e-mails and music we exchange. But he just recently posted the pictures of his trip here in my city. He took alot of nice photos of me. I've actually never been captured so well in photographs before. But I take that with me and move on.

Thank you, for wondering and answering me back. I love him desperatly, it was just another love story, their are billions...I'm glad I have this one to add to it. In my heart, I know he is apart of me, my ideal companion. But realisticly I don't think we are suppose to end up with our ideals. yah know, yah get over it. plus, I have a great imagination, I'm sure I made up all of this.

the thing is it wasn't because he was french. Its kind of a form of racisim I think to just like someone for their race. I think he's a beautiful person, of course I made the mistake of not telling him very much...if at all. I don't want to talk about the many reasons why I love Francois. Most of them derive in feelings. He did feel like the human embodiment of home to me though. haha, but I know reality "people move from home to home alot" its a sad concept but I'll try to understand.
