I've faced tragedy after tragedy in my life and faced a grim childhood. Adulthood is not looking much better. It seems like that no matter what I do, it's just not good enough. Does my birth chart show any potential for good things to happen? Will my life get better? Here is my natal chart with transits if that helps:

you have lots of potential for good things. you're so used to the difficulties that you come to expect them in some ways. you tend to take things personally too which makes it personally harder on yourself. you're in a place right now where you can make some choices to better your life, but you are afraid to make them. it's up to you. our chart is a guide - not set. free-will is everything. you can choose happiness and peace right now. don't be afraid to try. sending you lots of love. For who? Your family? This is a common feeling, normally it takes a long time to cast it off and get out there and do your own thing. Your chart is hard to read as it comes up small here, but I can spot a Mystic Rectangle. That gives you flowing energy to help out the difficult Oppositions present between Venus/Pluto and Mars/Neptune. I wonder what you think of this, I read the first bit I thought it was a bit weird, but intriguing:
