He seems like he keeps a lid on his feelings and isn't expressive about them per say, especially the more profound emotional stuff. I'm seeing him right now as undergoing some major inner transformation, which is evident in how you two relate.

I get the distinct feeling that things were on/off with you two, don't know if that's true or not though - it's just a feeling. I feel like consistency has been an obstacle.

You're showing here as ultimately more optimistic about the situation, and there's definitely a shared history between you. It looks like he brings out some very key emotions in you, and is able to move you emotionally in such a way as no one else has. I do see that you do the same to him - have a very similar impact - but again, it's showing him as somewhat masterful at hiding this, and not letting it be known completely.

In the recent past I'm getting that there's been more solidity, and a more emotional connection which is more evident. It looks like a shared, mutual connection.

In the next 1-2 months it looks like the bond deepens and becomes more consistent. It looks like there's a huge opening somehow, and a big step taken between the two of you so that what's within is becoming more echoed in your communication and actions toward each other.
However, I am still seeing a block here - it looks like the more intense things get, the more withholding happens. There's a weird bunny-hopping effect between you two - like, there's this huge intensity I am seeing between you, and an unreal, uncanny connection...and yet it seems like there's a resistance to it also, in trying to keep it at bay.
Some kind of control thing, which keeps you two bound but almost tight-lipped at times when it comes to emotional expression and surrender.
However, it's not really looking like that matters because the relationship itself, the interaction, and the effect you two have on each other is so strong, that it will somehow override whatever you withhold from one another.
This becomes more evident over the next 3 months.
