I did my own spread of two cards (a this or that kind of thing) asking if I should use the money I have set aside for a car or something else that I need.

Where I should apply my focus

CARD = The Magician

What must be done at a later stage

CARD = Six of Wands.

I usually get a very detailed answer but these cards are confusing me.

I appreciate any help offered.

Exactly as Chryseis says - the car. The cards are looking straightforward- The Magician means focus, and so it's bluntly telling you to focus on what you want.

I don't understand the 'What Must Be Done At a Later Stage' necessity. If there's something in particular you are asking about in addition, then it's more of an either this or that deal. But if there's nothing in particular that you're asking about except for the car, then the 6 of wands is re-enforcing again the point of focusing on what you want, because that's going to get you results (6 of Wands).

Does that make sense?

Yeah I get what your saying. The something else was specific & I am in great need of this as well I just didn't mention it here for privacy reasons. It's a personal health issue that also requires money & I am desperate for both things at the moment but only have funds for one at present.

Thank you for your responses.

I refocused myself & aked the question again....This time forst thing in the morning while I'm still fresh.

Same question, but the answer was so very different.....

Where to apply your focus
Ten of Swords

Briefly: A time to recuperate after an operation or period of sickness.

Full Meaning: At first sight this card looks just awful. There is a picture of a person laying face down in the snow with ten swords stuck in his/her back with blood oozing out everywhere. This can give a very distressing impression to your client when seeing this card in their layout. However, generally the card is not as depressing as originally seemed. It can just be a time to recuperate after an operation, which could have involved the back or neck. This person may also be needing some bed rest from exhaustion or is possibly temporarily depressed due to a current situation. Time does heal all wounds. There are stars twinkling in the dark night sky in the background, giving hope and inspiration that dawn will eventually, and always does, arrive. Daylight is only hours away, if only we do not lose sight of that timely event. The person does recover, does carry on and move into the light of day with renewed vigour and enthusiasm. It just sometimes takes a little time and possibly some tender loving care. The month of October may be particularly significant in relation to some event connected to the picture on this card. All is not lost though, as the month comes and goes just like every other month and by November all is generally well again and life is back on track.

What Must be Done at a Later Stage
Death/Rebirth

Briefly: The slate will be wiped clean for a fresh start. There will be none of the old left, so a whole new approach needs to be established before true renewal can take place. Sometimes when we draw this card, major events seems to unfold around us that challenge our thinking and our direction in life.

Full Meaning: This shows a grim reaper and a white rose at the same time. The Sun is setting in the background of the card, indicating the end of daylight hours. This is the card of endings, renewal and transformation of the highest order. The slate will be wiped clean for a fresh start. There will be none of the old left, so a whole new approach needs to be established before true renewal can take place. Sometimes when we draw this card, major events seems to unfold around us that challenge our thinking and our direction in life. Sometimes an unpleasant event shows us the way to a new path. This may seem traumatic at the time, but it is also saying that the old ways are no longer valid, or of value in your new life. It is time to cast aside whatever is hindering your progress in life and make a whole new start. Turn the leaf, sow new seeds, wear new clothes, change your appearance, move house, leave that boring job and get out there and dance. Life can end at any moment for any of us, so it is how wisely we spend our time here that really matters. You can still be serious about some aspects of your life, but leave plenty of room open for fun and for spontaneity. When we are on our death-bed, we will wish we had kicked up our heels more often, been more carefree, eaten more ice-cream, danced longer, sang out loud and showed others how much we love them. Don't wait till then, do it now, while you are alive and still kicking.

This morning I am reflecting on that Magician, maybe he was telling me that either desire is completely valid but I'm to be sure I really & truly want it.

Oh, ok, that makes sense then!
Spunky, if you don't mind, I pulled a couple of additional cards for you about this. I asked what would happen if you put the money into the car purchase, and got:

7 of Swords
8 of Wands

What would happen if you put the money into the other issue:

2 of Wands
8 of Pentacles

General advice:

8 of Cups
The Hanged Man
Page of Pentacles

I'm getting that you feel if you use the money for the car then the decision would seem hasty. It would satisfy you quickly and make you happy for a time (providing freedom), but something at the back of your mind would nag you that you didn't do the 'right' thing.

If you use the money for the other purpose, it would feel stifling to you, and like a forced decision initially that doesn't give immediate freedom, but your conscience would feel more clear because you'd feel you've gotten a certain hold on the situation and would get a sense of having something under control (if that makes sense).

The general advise just says that something (obviously) needs to be sacrificed here and while you may not be positively thrilled initially with the decision, it's going to give you greater peace in the long term to sacrifice what you want for now. The page of pentacles says to trust the nagging voice in the back of your head, because if you make your decision based on what you *desire* right now (though you're sick of waiting, by the looks of it), it would likely cause some inner conflict in the long run.

Hope that makes sense somewhat.

MVM

Thank you for that, I appreciate it.

I agree with you re; the nagging voice, lol. Both needs are legitimate, but one must supersede the other, that is just the facts of my situation.

I am going through a rebirth or regeneration of myself if you would so the Death card is very appropriate in my case. I have been on this track for quite some time and frankly, I'm just tired of having to wait, wait, wait.

So I guess the car will have to wait yet again. Good grief! I hate relying on public transport especially since Winter is coming around again in a few months.

MVM....I have had constant reassurance that I will be taken care of & will not lack for anything I need ( & truly, when things have been at their worst everything I needed has come to me but damn it! I'm so tired of being the one who has to wait while everyone around me don't give a damn for their responsibilities & just go about getting. Know what I mean?)

Ok. Rant is over. Putting happy face back on.

Lady, I hear you! I have my own fits as well about having to sacrifice stuff I need while those around me just continue to amass more!
So I can't blame you for feeling ticked off.
Public transport during winter sucks

At any rate, it looks like you'll end up making the right decision after all, and at least your conscience will be clear
