Hello everyone!

I've gotten pretty attached to my animal totem cards, particularly the "one card" reading that gives a general message of guidance when certain situations are meditated on. If anyone is interested in this, leave me a few keywords to focus on and I'll pull a card for you, leaving the description here.

Peri: I concentrated on your spiritual path and pulled The Wolf.

Keywords of this totem: Intuition, learning, The Shadow

The Wolf brings a strong sense of faithfulness, stregnth and intuition to the self. It brings with it learning, too. You know you are not like others, but you need not fear the inner power you feel when you are alone. It is time to cross barriers and take risks. Crossing these boundaries may be painful as doing so may alienate you further, but you must now go beyond the limited compass you've been given of "normal" behavior in order to learn and grow. Come to know your deepest self and even in the darkest of places you will find the courage and spiritual companionship you yearn for within yourself.

ABC, I can't ask the cards yes or no questions exactly, but I did concentrate on your career situation in general. I pulled The Owl reversed.

Keywords of this totem: detachment, wisdom, change.

You may need to be wary of withdrawing too much from the world at this time. An ability to be detached and discerning is an asset, unless it becomes a defense against being fully alive and satisfied. The owl signifies a time of great change, of initiation, of new beginnings. It portends the death of one thing, but also the birth of another. An old Sussex saying is: "When the owls whoop at night, except a fair morrow." Expect a bright dawn, open your heart, and it will surely come to you.

Lucia, I concentrated on your issues with making a true connection and pulled The Bear, reversed.

Keywords of this totem: Primal power, sovereignty, intuition married with instinct

The Bear, when reversed, is a clear and urgent warning that you must take immediate care not to be overwhelmed by the ferocious mother, by the berserk warrior, that resides inside of you. You can, when threatened or challenged, possess a force of anger and primal ferocity so powerful that, when it is left untempered by compassion and compromise, it can damage not only your own life but those of others around you. The Bear brings a strong presence and great reserve of power, gifts which easily overwhelm. Peace will be reached if you use your perseverance to integrate your spiritual, intuitive qualities with your primal, instinctual reactions.

DTM, I concentrated on your career & grad school situation and pulled The Boar.

Keywords of this totem: The warrior spirit, leadership, direction.

The Boar can open you to your warrior spirit, helping you to find your direction in life. The ritual boar paths that exist in Wales, Cornwall, Ireland and Scotland exist in the Inner World, too. If you follow them you will come face to face with an animal embodying the wild and untamed power that lives within you. He is calling for you to take charge and create, to lead with your creativity. Use your wildness and creative energy for genuine acts of heroism in a world that longs for your insight and creation.

Should I move to HK, and will I find more film opportunities there....or basically is it part of my destiny.

Thanks again Aerialcircus! Not to sound daft, but does the owl reversed mean something negative? I'm so sorry. I just want to make sure I interpret this right so I won't make any decisions I might regret later...

thanks a lot, aerialcircus, it makes a lot of sense to me interesting, the animal totem of my ASC degree is a dog, Siberian Husky, to be exact, they have lots in common with wolves.

You're welcome everyone! I really resonate with the themes of the cards, and how they're more guidance than yes/no answer based.

ABC, it's my understanding that pulling a card reversed isn't negative, persay; more of a warning than anything else. It just implies that you're using the animal's energy against yourself instead of FOR yourself, and that the particular inquiry that lead to the reversed card is an urgent one for you to resolve. I did a 3 card reading for myself last night in the same vein as Lucia's question, and all three of the cards were reversed. It's just a big red flashing neon sign that change needs to come, and fast.

Agent_009, I concentrated on whether or not you should move to HK in order to open up more opportunities for yourself, and I pulled The Seal.

Keywords for this totem: Love, longing, dilemma

The Seal calls to you from the sea. His song frightens many who hear it. It's cry is a mournful and human sound that stirs the heart of the listener to it's core. It is a call to us from our depths, from the Unconsciousness, from the waters of our birth, from our beginnings on earth. Often when the Seal makes himself present in our lives, we fear his call; anxious that we may be drowned, overwhelmed by our feelings if we heed him. But inside you already know exactly what must be done. Do not let intellect imprison your heart. Opening yourself to the promptings of your inner voice and your truest, most hidden dreams and longings will bring transformation, healing and love into your life.

lotion, I concentrated on what general guidance could be given for you concerning your love & life goals, and pulled The Otter.

Keywords of The Otter: Joy, Play, helpfulness

The otter invites us to play, to "go with the flow" of life and experience-- in essence, to become a child again. Allow yourself the freedom of relaxing. Give yourself permission to let go of your daily concerns more often. Your practical self may tell you that you cannot afford the time, but deep down you know that you need to take care of yourself to be of real value to others. Someone may be coming into your life who will show you how to play again-- something you may have forgotten as you accepted the responsibilities of growing older. The Otter shows us that being playful can even lead us to catch The Salmon- the animal totem of complete wisdom.

PA, I focused on your general energy and pulled The Raven reversed.

Keywords of this totem: Healing, Initiation, Protection

Try to become aware of the forces of destruction which exist in your life and in the world around you. Although we might wish that destruction simply didn't occur, we also know that without it there can't be construction or recreation. The raven speaks of the dark and difficult aspects of life, and it is often difficult to understand him. Sometimes we must go through a process of disintegration and darkness in order to emerge into a new light. To a great extent, our fear of the dark is worse than anything we will find there. Drawing this card reversed may mean that we can come to terms with our own destructiveness, knowing that we have protection from the Goddess. It may also mean that we can come to a resolution of our opposites, experiencing the reality that in light there is always darkness, in darkness always light.

Hi aerialcircus,
Could you pull a card for me, please?

I had to choose between duty and love and I have made a decision and gone up a path of no return. Just curious to see if there are any words of advice for me.
Thank you!
