I have been trying to read my own chart but I continue to get bogged down in the symantics of it all. I have read multiple books and have even tried to follow Ms. Linda's simple instructions. The problem is, I am one of these people who acctually has to be "taught" something i.e. in a classroom setting; I find it very difficult to retain knowledge and apply it just by reading. So, my problem is although I have read many of the free websites breakdown of my chart, I do not know enough about chart readings to know which factors in my chart are important and very meaningful with the largest impact on my personality & life. I would love to acctually talk to an astrologer but I live in small town North Carolina and there aren't any astrologers anywhere near here. [I don't know of any, anywhere for that matter, but would LOVE to meet with one no matter what the cost or travel it would be.] So, I am hoping that someone may see this posting and take the time with me to do a reading, or maybe refer me to someone who can. Thank you so much and if anyone has any questions of me or has any suggestions on info. that I should state to give the person reading my chart a better start, just bang 'em out and I'll reply ASAP. OH, I feel you darlin, I have the same problem.
I started a different tact.
I have this book called 'The Only Astrology Book You Will Ever Need,' Someone gave it to me as a gift years ago.
I took it out a few days ago and really studied the making of charts the "old fashioned" way, on paper, from scratch.
Maybe if you are a visual person, like me that will help you too. Otherwise it is just like a bunch of words being thrown at you. Good luck, keep me posted!IP: Logged |

hello there, im not an astrologer;,i just got interested in astrology a few years ago (3 precisely) but we can talk anyway;first thing that i saw, besides your mc exactly conjunt my ic  , was your saturn on the asc; also, the cancer sun with aqua moon must be something interesting; i wonder how it manifests. my first impression was positive, a water sun with lots of fire, but also air moon sign in air house, and a second house in cap; much balanced.

Hi JWonderer,I am a professional astrologer and hopefully I can be of help if you are still interested. I do have a question for you which is, if you could get an accurate reading of your chart would it still be a burning desire for you to learn how to read charts? I ask because so often I see people come here wanting a reading, desperately trying to figure out their own chart and learning astrology is not their deepest desire. As an astrologer I don't require my clients to know and understand astrology in order to read their chart, just like a doctor doesn't require the patient to know how to do surgery in order to diagnose them and surgically fix a problem. With that being said, what is your true desire? A reading only? Lessons only? Or both? I am in New York but I'm willing to teach you over the phone at your own pace if it is your desire to learn.
