I've said before-- I'm awful at reading my own chart and always appreciate another set of eyes. As much as I can gather, my Neptune in the 10th house has caused A LOT of confusion in my figuring out what area to go in for an occupation. I studied film undergrad but just can't handle (or stand!) the industry enough to be able to make it a long term pursuit. All my interests have always been in the arts but I can't seem to find a path and stick to it! I feel like I soak up so many impressions and am just not sure what to do with it all/make of it. Maybe that will always be the case? The one thing I've been doing all my life consistently is writing and I recently decided to try and pursue an MFA for it (specifically poetry) to maybe give that a chance to finally blossom and give it the attention it deserves.

Anyway I just wanted to give a little context to my occupational confusion and ask for those of you who are willing to please give me some insights into what my chart might indicate for an occupation. Also does my chart show potential as a writer? What about music? A huge part of me (and maybe this is only symptomatic of being young) worries that I may just be a huge appreciator of the arts and not lack the capacity to be a creator...so thoughts on that would also be helpful. Thanks

Well, with all those planets clustered around you MC I'm sure you will find yourself in the public sphere in some way, and with NN conjunct ASC square the conjunction, you will probably always integrate your personality into your professional life, or try very hard to. I've read that those born with Saturn/Uranus conjunction are the usher to change in their generations. You have Venus conjunct it, in Sagittarius, in the 9th house, and opposite chiron. I'd suspect that you'd do very well in some kind of teaching role eventually (of course that requires a lot of learning, too) dealing with Venus, which of course could mean art.

Neptune in the tenth doesn't always mean confusion, although maybe intially so. It is also the planet of unity, so it could also mean you would like to connect with everyone intimately at once (maybe why you chose film?) in your profession, and I think moon there augments that. But because they are in Earth, this must be done in a practical and tangible way, right?

Your poetry could very well touch a lot of people (Mercury in 8th house Scorpio conjunct Pluto!) on a very deep level. Poetry expresses what cannot be expressed in ordinary words, and I find that fitting for such a Plutonic Mercury, haha.

Honestly, I just figured out what I might want to be, and I'm older than you. A transit from Uranus actually spurred things in motion (well, the transit didn't do it, but it coincided with the transit). Don't worry too much, you'll figure it out. Just keep searching, and keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to use your creative talents in a way that feels right.

thanks for your reply bopbop. I'm so glad you mentioned teaching! Lately I've realized how much I love academic environments and was thinking maybe in pursuing an MFA in poetry (fingers crossed I can get into a program) I should look into teaching too. And I think you're right about your notes on my feeling that connecting with others in my profession must be done in a practical and tangible way- I've always had kind of dreamy/artistic interests when it comes to possible professions but always felt a sort of push/pull with an equally strong desire to ground those interests in something real and something that helps others somehow. And I definitely do integrate my personality with my professional life- to me they are inseparable. What was the Uranus transit that got things moving for you by the way? Just curious...thanks again for your thoughts
