During the most recent engagement (dated off and on for nearly 7 years) I got as far as purchasing the wedding dress when I received a 3-way call from 2 friends (one, a practicing astrologer) who decided to break the news to me that she "didn't see *anything* in my chart indicating marriage for a long, long time" and that this man was "not the one." I told her she was full of it, that I just bought the dress and picked out the reception hall, etc. I had wrote her, along with others off as a friend (temporarily)because I felt everyone had ill intentions of breaking us up when we were trying to be happy together. Then, a couple of months later everything blew up in my face. That's the short version.
BTW, the engagement, new house and breaking off of engagement, along with becoming morbid enemies all happened during my 1st Saturn Return.

To be honest, I don't see myself as what would be the traditional, "ideal" wife, as I'm far from Susie Homemaker and am better described as a modern-day woman who is fiercely independent, however, I love the idea of finding one person to be happy with, share everything with, and live out my later years with.

I definitely wasn't too picky before. I dated a broad range of different men from various religious/cultural/spiritual backgrounds, various careers, values, sexual prowess and lack thereof, and things just didn't seem to work out with anyone. Now, I feel its even harder to find someone to connect with on more than just one level. Even harder to find someone who is truly spiritual (utmost importance to me.)

Furthermore, I feel best when I can choose my mate, not the other way around. I hate to be pursued. I don't like being aggressively moved in on, like I'm the prey and its an immediate turn off for me, no matter how good-looking, smart or financially loaded he is.

I guess I'm most stimulated by a good challenge on a bunch of different levels. I need someone who can spark that fire and inspire me. I just find it extremely difficult to find that match. Most don't stimulate me and I find less and less people I have a soul recognition with.

Any hope for me in the future at all? I've aimed high, I've settled, and I've explored plenty of places in between to no avail. Maybe its me. LOL. Or maybe I'm not supposed to be focusing on relationships at all and instead be focusing on a far grander scheme than dating? (???)

I wonder what your answer would be since you mentioned it in the first sentence of your original post. However, I can tell you some of what's going on in your chart and why this subject is high on your priority list.

First of all, transiting Uranus will not get to your Venus until mid-April of 2011. When Uranus relates to your Venus it may bring someone into your life in a shocking way, as a surprise or if you have a partner by that time, he might experience some kind of a surprise.

Right now, transiting Saturn is moving through the early degrees of Libra and that's exactly opposite your Venus. It may be drying up your social opportunities or even bringing considerations of older partners into your experience. There may also be the possibility for break ups. You may be experiencing this until August which is when Saturn finally moves away from your Venus.

The positive part of Saturn relating to your Venus this way is that Saturn is teaching you to focus on trust, what kind of boundaries and rules you need around relationships and learning about social skills; what is and what's not appropriate for you in relationships. Problems In Finding People Through Their DOBs.

GypsyGirl, Use your list to build yourself a base of men and women friends. Some of these friends could become closer personal people. Some churches, sport organizations and, dating companies collect DOBs but may not allow public viewing to their list.
