Is Love in the Stars? Spread

1. READY: This card represents a way in which you are ready for love to come into your life.

Six of Swords - This card features a boy who looks to be sleeping - resting on the back of a beautiful big Swan, who is carrying her off to safety: away from five stormcrows who sit on the swords below. I know this card usually shows someone who is very troubled, but bravely moving on, but this boy looks to be at peace: trusting in the Swan to take him where he will be safe.

2. OR NOT: This card shows a way that you are not ready for love. To draw love into your life, consider this card carefully.

Six of Cups- This is one of my favourite cards in the deck. So sweet, and innocent.

My first thought, though, was whether or not you're still attached to somebody from your past. Could this also be showing how you might be vulnerable to someone who won't be so good for you?

3. DO IT. Turn to this card for advice on a step you can take to put yourself in the path of love.

Seven of Swords - This makes no sense to me at first. See what I mean? I may not have chosen the cards so well, but I thought of you when I was upstairs reading, and had my Shadowscapes tarot on the table next to me, so I wanted to try.

This card isn't only about avoidance or doing your own thing; in the DruidCraft Tarot, it shows someone in the throes of trying to put a plan together.

I don't like this card; the man in it, looks to be framing the Swan that shows up in the Eight of Swords. I don't know if this points to you needing to avoid someone who might try to keep you close when you need to move on, or if these cards are showing up for me. (That has happened, when I tried to read for someone else.)

4. STOP IT. Consider this card as a warning about something that you actively do to block love from your life.

Three of Swords - Ouch. This card shows a Swan who has been stabbed with three swords, and a heart that bleeds, on the wall.

Have you been like me, and actively trying to avoid someone who might be this cruel, deliberately? Or does this tie into a card above: are you still attracted to someone who has had this effect on you? (Or do you go for others like him? Accidentally, that is.)

I had another idea, but it slipped my mind.

5. OUTCOME: This is your answer. If it is positive and love is in the stars, paying attention to cards 2 and 4 will only make things better. If the answer is negative, work on the issues in cards 2 and 4 and strengthen the energy noted in cards 1 and 3. Then try this spread again and see if you haven't created a better outcome.

Ten of Swords - This doesn't sound like a good card at first, but it has a positive side, so I'm not sure how to take this. The positive side is an attitude of the worst being over, but the negative is the end of something.

I'm sorry I don't have more to tell you, or if the reading is bad (and equally sorry if these cards turned up for me ), but I'll check the card meanings in the book at some point, to see if I can get anything more from the story in the book. I'm really sleepy. Maybe somebody else can take a look at the cards, and tell you something, or give you a fresh reading.
