Relax and realize this is part of your nature to want to experience new things, socialize and learn, communicate with others, and be challenged in your life with new projects regarding career.

If you look at this a different way, rather than trying to finds the means to an end, you will appreciate more the PROCESS of your life...

If I were you, I'd position myself to find careers that BOTH serve as an interest to you AND will grant you financial security.

Choose jobs that will allow you a certain degree of freedom, independence, travel, and a tinge of benefits or involvement in the financial arena.

You COULD easily go into finance, accounting, banking or independent contracting (because you have a packed 2nd house)... somehow... or develop a software, like you said... ULTIMATELY, just realize you are in this for the LEARNING, experience and challenge of every career and trade you will pick up... make a career of trying new careers?
