Hello. First of all, thanks for activating my account

When I first discovered astrology it helped me greatly by confirming what I'd always known about myself but what noone else could seem to see. ie. people only ever saw quiet, shy, studious virgo ascendant (no offense to virgos of course!) and noone understood that I could be quite bold and adventurous with big plans - sun and moon conjunct in sagittarius.

BUT (you knew there was a but coming didn't you ) It's become a real curse over the years. I look up just about every person I can as well as checking up on famous people and it's just depressing me to see their success and my failure (in the mental health system past seven years, academic troubles, terrible online "friendships"). I see far more the negative sag traits now like restlessness, messiness, unreliability, etc. I know that I have free will but I feel like I'll still fall back into patterns that my chart indicates and it doesn't seem to indicate much success at all. I've never really been a jealous person but I'm getting jealous of people's aspects (as weird as that may seem).

I wish I had sun-mars or moon-mars for the energy. I wish I had mercury-mars or uranus for the intellect. I wish I had venus-jupiter for the financial success etc.

People say look to your trines for your talents but I have no trines! At least not in the basic chart, some to the ascendant but I don't know if they count. Also, my jupiter seems weak. Just an out-of-sign conjunction to uranus and that's it. No wonder I am so unlucky! Okay, again, I shouldn't blame the chart, but time and time again astrology keeps turning out to be true and I wish it wasn't sometimes.

So. I think I have nothing whatsoever going for me. Is there anything in my chart that is actually something to write home about?

Obviously, your 4th house is loaded. What it says to me is that your upbringing, family, traditions etc have affected you deeply. Yet, as both a Sagittarius Sun and Moon, you crave the freedom to explore other cultures, belief systems and ideas.

The first thing I would say is to tap into your Moon's energy. As a woman, you become more powerful and in tune with yourself when you embrace the qualities of your Moon's placements. So for you, with Moon in Sagittarius, it is important for you to have new experiences the expand your worldview. This is what makes you feel safe and secure.

You are ultimately a truth seeker, and perhaps you've spent time trying to find out the truth about yourself and where you come from.

Are you into history? Writing about history? Speaking or teaching history or writing?

Also, some things about your relationship with your Mother, or perhaps both parents. [Moon conjunct Neptune in the 4th house]Perhaps a feeling of merging or losing yourself that you can't seem to escape. Maybe you never felt or feel like a separate and whole person. Were you raised religious?

I see a strong sense of duty and responsibility to your family ...

You can respond to what I've written and then ask questions if you want.

This isn't astrology but you asked about talents and what not, I took it upon myself to find yer lifepath number which is 3. It talkes a deal abotu you expressing yourself. Persnaps you enjoy writing, or anything in some kind of arts? Here it is, I will copy/paste for you.

LIFE PATH 3

As a 3 Life Path, you possess great talent in creativity and self-expression. Many writers, poets, actors and musicians are born under the 3 Life Path. You are witty, possess a gift for gab and savor the limelight. Your talent for the expressive arts is so abundant that you may have felt drawn to becoming an artist at a very young age. However, your artistic abilities can only mature through discipline and commitment to the true development of your talent.

Thanks to your gift of self-expression, you can be the life of a party and the center of attention. However, you could easily squander your talent by becoming a social butterfly. Your creativity is a gift that can give you the comfort and luxury you desire, but not without continual focus and discipline.

You are optimistic, and you posses the resilience to overcome many setbacks. You are socially active, popular and inspire people with your happy-go-lucky attitude. You can be generous to a fault. Many people born under the 3 Life path have difficulty handling money, because they can be disorganized, and not particularly serious about their responsibilities.

You are emotional and vulnerable. When hurt, you withdraw into a clause of silence, eventually emerging from you reticence with jokes and laughter that cover up your true feelings. You can become moody and cynical when depressed. You can succumb to sarcastic remarks, which can be painful to those around you. When used positively, your talent for self-expression can be a great inspirational force in the world, uplifting others, and bringing much success and happiness to you.

*You said it iyrself you have/had big plans and just because you think no on else sees it isn't any kind of a good reason to not see it in yourself. You are you, you know what you want, dream, and wish for.

* There is good and bad to every sign, just because you notice the bad more does not mean the good isn't there. It is. Don't be so hard on yourself about it. And all those famous or successful people, do you think they got to the top in a day? I bet they didn't. I bet they, like most everyone, felt this way at one time or another.

I know that I have free will but I feel like I'll still fall back into patterns that my chart indicates and it doesn't seem to indicate much success at all. I've never really been a jealous person but I'm getting jealous of people's aspects (as weird as that may seem).

*I understand astrology can help people. And it can point out bad things, and I really am not being mean please do not see it that way. But, THAT is no excuse for you to be less than what you are meant to be. If you were to sit around and say oh my chart doesn't show this so I guess I'll give up. That is the worst thing you can do, and unfortunately you are choosing to do it to yourself.

I wish I had sun-mars or moon-mars for the energy. I wish I had mercury-mars or uranus for the intellect. I wish I had venus-jupiter for the financial success etc.

*I don't have anything special either, I don't need a chart to tell me that though. I am not very intelligent book wise, and I can't use "big" words and I can only remember what people say or feel. I can't remember movies, or books, or things I studied yesterday. But, like you- I have other good things. Like for example I can care for people, and I can hug them, and I can perhaps be the only person who smiled at them one day. Everyone has good, focus on that and not the bad.

*I don't believe I have trines either. But, just because my chart doesn't point to something amazing, does not in anyway mean that I am not something amazing or I wont do something amazing. I use charts as a kind of guideline. Take it with a grain of salt. The doctors could had messed up yer birth time by minutes. Or, it could be exactly right, but a chart does not show everything about someone. If it did, we'd all be running around with charts in our hands not talking to one another, or seeking more answers- from friends-numerology-family- praying- your self- there is so much out there. And, the reason for that is not EVERYTHING on one person, not EVERYTHING that you can learn is all in one thing. If it were the case, we'd all be set.

So. I think I have nothing whatsoever going for me. Is there anything in my chart that is actually something to write home about?

*Like, I said I am not good at reading charts but yes there is something good. It's you, it's a part of you. And that makes it good all in itself.

You are on my heart, and I hope that something I said, and something someone else said can help you. Be blessed <3

Wow. Thanks guys for your great replies and sorry for taking so long to respond I haven't felt that great lately. First to electricmind:

"The first thing I would say is to tap into your Moon's energy. As a woman, you become more powerful and in tune with yourself when you embrace the qualities of your Moon's placements."

I will try to do this.

"You are ultimately a truth seeker, and perhaps you've spent time trying to find out the truth about yourself and where you come from."

I have in the past spent a lot of time analysing myself - why am I the way I am? People have labelled me a lot in the mental health system and I go out of my way to correct things they say to me that aren't true and try to get an accurate diagnosis. Generally, I try to be honest. It bothers me a lot when other people aren't

"Speaking or teaching history or writing?"

en't been interested in history so far but - who knows - that could change in the future. I've never written a book or anything but most days I do a bit of writing on my computer. Just to get my thoughts out.

"Also, some things about your relationship with your Mother, or perhaps both parents."

relationship with my mother has always been very rocky. Until, I was at uni I don't think she ever approved of me. A lot of her comments were really harsh. For example, calling me a sociopath, when I was just quiet sometimes.

"Perhaps a feeling of merging or losing yourself that you can't seem to escape."

Hmm, I've felt like I've lost myself with certain people online but not with my parents necessarily.

"Were you raised religious?"

Isang in a church choir but if I wasn't a singer I probably wouldn't have gone to church. Also, went to an anglican high school but my parents weren't religious and said that when I got to be an adult I could choose my own religion. I think I've been spiritual in the past and a bit of a dreamer but not religious. I'm not sure if God exists...

"I see a strong sense of duty and responsibility to your family ..."

Growing up, I believed that once you got to 18 years old you would move out and never see your parents again. I thought that's the way life went lol. I did move out at 18 but I've had a great deal of contact with them. These days (at 28) I see them about two-three times per week. Ring them almost everyday and email my father at least once a day. I think I have way too much contact but I can't seem to resist

I only have a voluntary job at the moment but I do feel pressure to get a paying job because my father is semi-retired and my mum doesn't work and I figure someone has to put my brother (he's 15) through university and help my parents when they get older. So yes, you could say I feel duty towards my family.

Thanks again for your comments, I don't really have any more questions at the moment. You have both given me a lot of insight. Will address Txgirl in the next post...

Txgirl:

Thanks for taking the trouble to look up my life path number! There's a lot there which is positive which is nice. Arts? Hmm, I like music (mostly piano) and languages and I've done a bit of graphic art on the computer but not recently. Maybe I could try again.

"You said it iyrself you have/had big plans and just because you think no on else sees it isn't any kind of a good reason to not see it in yourself. You are you, you know what you want, dream, and wish for."

Good point

"There is good and bad to every sign, just because you notice the bad more does not mean the good isn't there. It is. Don't be so hard on yourself about it. And all those famous or successful people, do you think they got to the top in a day? I bet they didn't. I bet they, like most everyone, felt this way at one time or another."

Yes. Another good point .. and I can be too hard on myself. Sometimes, I think I criticise myself before others can. To get there first - if that makes any sense.

"I understand astrology can help people. And it can point out bad things, and I really am not being mean please do not see it that way. But, THAT is no excuse for you to be less than what you are meant to be. If you were to sit around and say oh my chart doesn't show this so I guess I'll give up. That is the worst thing you can do, and unfortunately you are choosing to do it to yourself."

It's okay. I'm not offended. I see where you are coming from and think you are right. I'm pleased actually that I have this choice because it means I have more control over things.

"I don't have anything special either, I don't need a chart to tell me that though. Everyone has good, focus on that and not the bad."

I'm definitely going to try and be more positive.

"I don't believe I have trines either. If it were the case, we'd all be set."

Yes. I can see that perhaps I am taking things too seriously and true, life would probably be too easy if the chart was all one ever needed.

"Like, I said I am not good at reading charts but yes there is something good. It's you, it's a part of you. And that makes it good all in itself.

You are on my heart, and I hope that something I said, and something someone else said can help you. Be blessed"

Thanks for your great comments, both of you. I actually do feel better now
