Topic: Father's Chart - Need Help Understanding Him

My Father is not a bad man, but we had a very volatile relationship for most of my childhood and now it is just strained. Since we are not close, I am hoping to get a better understanding of him through astrology, which will hopefully put things in perspective and help with our communication.  littlecloud, Yes, the second synastry is correct. You my darling have a very interesting chart with two kites (if I'm not mistaken)Ok I think there might be two issues that you have with him. 1) His Sun is in the first house which in itself seems to support a rather large ego and a person that is fairly in love with themselves (or seems so). Jupiter, which expands everything it touches conjuncts it so I believe it's safe to say that his self-interest gets out of hand at times. Saturn is in wide conjunct so it helps tame this a bit. 2) His mercury is opposite Mars which means that his speech is rather aggressive and can cut people to the quick. Both these things don't bode to well with your Sun and Mercury in the 8th house which prefer depth rather than self-absorbed chatter. Your synastry will take a bit more work. Wow...just noticed the age difference. He had you when he was fairly young. I'm positive that that alone has a huge bearing on your relationship with him. You guys have a moon/pluto opposition and sun/pluto opposition (ouch) so there is an extreme in the emotions you feel for each other. The most difficult aspect you two have is Saturn square Saturn. I had this once in a relationship and it was enough to scare the beejeezus out of me. Never again. The harder part for you is that he's your father and you can't get out of the relationship. His Saturn also squares your Sun. There is a lot of karma here, and obviously not enjoyable. Compromise is the word. And space. Try to stay away from each other every now an then. Your mercuries are also stressed, which makes communication difficult. A lot of arguing and and a reluctance to share ideas and communicate. I'll be back tomorrow with more. IP: Logged |

I'm confused...the second synastry is the correct one?If so can you repost your father's natal using equal house? You can just edit your previous post with the correct charts. IP: Logged |
