I'm a picky eater from birth. It's something I've learned to tone down through the years, but its still definitely there. I'm wondering what natal indicators could predispose someone to being a picky eater? I'm very watery, sun, venus and mercury in cancer with a pisces moon and a scorpio ascendant. Lots of eighth house stuff going too. No virgo actually. If you want to take a look at my chart I can post it. IP: Logged |

Yes, please post your chart. I can't really make any connections with the information you've given.Astrology aside, do you come from a family of picky eaters? I'm not sure if you believe in the whole having others lives, but from my studies habits that seem to be almost unbreakable or any phobias you have may stem from a past life. Anyway, post you chart and hopefully I can help you. ------------------ We sail through endless skies Stars shine like eyes The black night sighs The moon in silver dreams Falls down in beams Light of the night IP: Logged |

Yes venus in Virgo is the classic picky eater.Do you have much 6th house?------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personality Jung God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. Venus in Virgo? She said her Venus is in Cancer. Am I missing something here? But yes you are right,Ami, Venus in Virgo would indicate pickiness with food. I, too, agree that the 6th house placement might explain some things. What sign is on your 6th house cusp? It's rulers placement and aspects should help us understand as well.Anyway, Cecile, please post your chart so we can help you ------------------ We sail through endless skies Stars shine like eyes The black night sighs The moon in silver dreams Falls down in beams Light of the night IP: Logged |

And there's of course that 2nd house in function of our physical body and basic physical needs, the primary need for anyone to survive - and the fact that food does seem to be associated with Taurus more I read about the 2nd house involvement in eating habits in a collected print of articles that Karen Hamaker had written years ago. It made instant sense to me, wish I could find the articles online. So - virgo for pickyness and 2nd house for eating? Interestingly, I have a very specific way of eating my food, never mixed up, always meat n veg seperate. Even a lasagna is carefully dissected. My son is the same and he has Virgo on the 2nd house cusp (and its ruler in Scorpio, which is the case with me too). Then again, he's a toddler, they do get specific about food at that age Anyway, I'm kind of leaning towards 6th house too.

The first house is the function of the physical body. But yes the 2nd house could signify eating habits. I'm really curious to know what her ASC ruler is and its aspects as well as the same for the 6th house. That would be where I'd look to first.------------------ We sail through endless skies Stars shine like eyes The black night sighs The moon in silver dreams Falls down in beams Light of the night IP: Logged |

Hmm... I always felt that 1st house fulfills only the function of appearance with respect to the physical body and that the 2nd house represents that physical body that you can't (always) see... The workings of that physical body, for example. But that's my personal sense I do wonder when we're going to see a chart, though

My husband is the pickiest eater I have ever seen! Most veggies are out of the question, no meat can be on the bone, no onions, nothing that is too small to pick out...The list goes on and on!His Sun is in Virgo...In the second house. His moon is also Virgo, as is his Mars. His Pluto is in the 6th in Scorpio. No wonder he doesn't just eat ANYBODY's cooking. ------------------ ELLYGIRL7 IP: Logged |
