Hi I am looking for someone to give me a horary reading and yes you can guess it is about love

My details:

DOB 2/21/1068, Boston MA at 10:00 AM

My question:

I believe that I am on the verge of entering into a very important romance (possibly one that lasts the long haul). My dreams seem to tell me this, my cards as well as a couple of really good psychics that I know.

Am I on the verge (or soon to be) of this very important love affair?

You know... I did a whole analysis and realized I did it for today's date. Back to the drawing board...

OKAY, that actually didn't change much. (Thank GOD I copied the post I deleted. *shakes fist at mercury*)

I'm a total beginner with horary, but I'll give it a whirl if you don't mind.

If anyone who is much more learned in horary has any guidance to offer, please do! Like I said, I'm a beginner.

An ascendant in the early degrees implies that it's too early to tell. There's room for a lot of things to change.

You are signified by mars (ASC/1st house) in the chart, and your potential romance partner would be Venus (7th house cusp.)

Venus is conjunct the sun and applying, which implies the potential partner is currently with another.

Mars and Venus make no major aspects, which signifies no relationship.

Saturn in the 7th is a red flag, as Saturn restricts.

The moon is in a weak house and is separating from a trine to mars (you.) The moon is kind of the engine for action.

So, from what I can tell, the horary is telling you to wait for more details to surface. Things don't seem promising, but with an early degree ASC there's a big chance things will change.

AC is too early, lily tells not to read the chart is its in first 3 or last 3 degrees of a chart, some astrologers go up to 5 degrees too..
therefore, PiscesGirl, you should wait for circumstances to unveil

Yes, with ASC at 3 degrees the universe is saying that there isn't enough information at this time to make a valid judgement. Ask again at another time

Wishing you the best!

Well, I am awake now. Couldn't fall back asleep and I was feeling a bit guilty that I delivered unpleasant news to you.

First of all, I don't consider the Asc being *too* early. Too early means 0deg00'-2deg59. Yours is passed that. It is early stages, because you're not even dating, but it means to me you have enough info to ask this question.

Second, it is the issue with Saturn in the 7th. All too often I see people simply reject a chart because there are impediments to judgement. But a chart is a chart and should be read as it is, IMO. And yes, the first time you ask the question is the right chart, even if you ask a slightly different question afterwards. The heavens answered the first time and as with any predictive tools, it tends to backfire if you keep on asking.

Soo... I'm going to interpret this chart, as it is.

Thank you, Northernland for posting the chart, as I am still feeling lazy.

The thing I find most unsettling about reading other people's horaries is the significators, because there are quite a few to choose from and since I don't know all the details, I might pick a wrong one. But still... I am willing to give it a try.

So, your first significator as ruler of Asc is Mars in Cancer in the 4th. This is an interesting position for Mars, because you're both in your own sign of triplicity and also of fall, suggesting you're kind of torn in this matter. You are now self-confident and sure things will work out, only to doubt yourself a few moments later. But, mind you, you have power to act, as you are in an angular house. You're in his derived 10th house, highest point in his derived chart, meaning you are important to him and he respects you.

The question is who is he. He could be Venus in early Leo, meaning he just went through some big change as he just changed signs. But Venus is also another significator for you, as well. I'd rather go with Venus as you, despite being the ruler of DC - his house. Now, Venus is a bit too confident in Leo, combust by Sun's rays, which means you don't see much beside your own opinion on the matter. You want to get your way and can't see clearly the big picture. The Sun is him, this I can say. He's your ruler, meaning you love him very much and don't see yourself with anyone else. You're combusted by him, which means blindness to anything else but your adoration for him. As Sun, there are no hints of his feelings for you. Venus is peregrine in Leo. But there is an applying conjunction, and this means action. You will aproach him. In less than a month, I'd say (you're at the end of a succedent house).

I'd like to take a different approach and consider him Saturn, because I've seen it work more than once (I gave you a personal example in the other thread). Saturn is in quite a strong position, self confident as it is exalted in Libra and angular, having power to act, but a bit stressed out, as it is harshly aspected. There are many issues concerning him right now, many things to consider and take care of. He's in a stressful period of his life.
Saturn is ruled by you, so yes, he does like you, a lot. But he's also placed in Mars's detriment (your other ruler), which means that there are things about you that are keeping him from starting a relationship with you. This can mean so many different things. I've seen this when one partner, despite having powerful loving feelings for the other, dislikes certain attitudes of his/her potential partner or is resentful that he/she doesn't make a move or that he/she is seeing someone else. It doesn't necessarily mean he loathes you, though that can be a valid interpretation in some cases. Not in yours, I think, because there are other indications that he likes you. He probably thinks a relationship with you is problematic for God knows what reason.
Okay, so Mars is applying to Saturn, for a square, from Saturn's detriment in Cancer to Mars's detriment in Libra. Now, this could be considered a straight no right here. The aspect is negative and the mutual reception is bad. But something will happen and you will make it happen (again reinforced by your applying conjunction to Sun), in about 4-5 weeks or so (or a month, as suggested by Sun-Venus conjunction). This could be that you'll finally be tired of guessing and ask him for a straight answer, which could get you two into an argument. You're going to approach him from his detriment and he will receive you in your detriment. You two will probably have things to reproach to the other. But something WILL happen. And a square doesn't necessarily mean NO. I gave you an example in your other thread, when a square made from a similar position in Cancer actually meant yes. But it was hard and stressful and almost didn't work out. It really depends on your free will (and his).

So, in conclusion, I think you will be the one to make a move. And you should, just be careful how you play your card. You have some things working for you, so it's not as bad as it looks. Mars is sextiled by the great benefic, so a lucky opportunity will present itself. So is Moon (the situation). Speaking of the Moon, it's in your 12th house, hidden from your direct sight, again suggesting you might not see this clearly. It is placed in Pisces, which means you view the situation from an intuitive stand-point, could also explain the divination and psychics involved. Moon's last Ptolemaic aspect is precisely this sextile to the great benefic which resides in your house, so I say, though things might not go as smoothly as you;d wish, you might get your man.

Just a last comment on Uranus on Asc... I can't tell you for sure what will happen, but I think it will happen soon and it won't be like you plan it. It will be something that will take you completely by surprise, something shocking even. This is because of your view on the situation, which is a bit narrow (Venus combusted, Moon in the 12th). When reality will kick in, it won't be as you think it is. This could be good or bad, I cannot tell right now.

Don't be too radical and don't try to push things your way. Behave Venus-like, not Mars-like.

And goodluck! Keep us posted.

Noblefish, I don't usually give readings because for this I need to be tuned in with the question being asked. I'm intuitive (Moon-Neptune exact conjunction), but I'm also fickle and unable to control my insights at will. Last night, for some reason, I woke up at 3 am and posted to Pisces Girl. No idea why, but felt like I had to. I'm erratic like this.

I will take a look, but I can't promise that I can come up with anything, so don't get your hopes up. I usually block when people expect me to deliver. But it might be a good exercise to control my skills, if I even have any.

Hello Hera,

I loved reading your delineation of this horary chart. It was very clear and precise and that makes me trust you.

If you can and have the time, I wonder if you would explain why you made the firm decision to use Venus as her significator instead of sticking with Mars and the Moon? When I tried to answer the question myself I "assumed" it was because Venus is a feminine planet.

Also, I think I understand why you used Saturn as his significator instead of Venus, my guess is that it's because Saturn is exalted in Libra and it's a masculine planet, however, I suspect you would have received the same answer if you kept the significators traditional, so I'm just curious about your decision process. You mentioned another thread where you did the same thing for "Pisces Girl" and that it worked.

If he remained as Venus, and she remained as Mars how would that have changed the reading? Venus and Mars make no connection.

Anyway, no pressure at all as I am looking at it and possibly figuring it out, but it sounds like you've got some strong extra knowledge on the subject, I'm curious to understand.

Once again, loved your interpretation and I hope Pisces Girl reveals what happens in a few weeks.

Hello, Geo, and thank you! It means a lot coming from you.

I went for Venus as PG's significator because Venus can be used as the querent's significator if the querent is female. I read somewhere (unfortunately I don't remember the reference, I must have picked that one up somewhere along my learning path) that, especially in romantic questions, Venus stands for how the querent is applying her seductive skills and how she is perceived, as a woman, rather than as a person (which would be the main significator or Moon). It's unusual because Venus rules the DC and should be asigned to the quesited. But I've seen it work, like for instance when Cancer is on DC and the Moon was used for the querent, not the quesited and a valid answer was given. I like to look at things from more angles, that's all.

The example I was refering to was given in Pisces Girl's other thread, where she asked another question on the matter. I was talking about Saturn in the 7th and how this is usually an impediment for judging the chart, but I got a verified answer using Saturn in the 7th as the quesited and decided to try this with PG's initial horary (this one).

I'm not very knowledgeable about horary, mostly because I'm self-educated and got my info from all over the place. I know the basics and I like to stretch the rules a little bit if I can get a clearer answer out of it. I try to verify my technique by going back to questions that I already have an answer for and see how the planets indicated it in the first place. Sometimes I found answers in unexpected places, so I like to look at more possibilities.

I don't know if this answers your questions. I'm just as curious as you are to know the outcome of this. I'm always a little apprehensive when reading for others because I start with a limited background.

Hello Hera,

Yes, your answer made sense and I'm going to check on some personal horaries, especially one I did in the spring that seemed to say "no" traditionally, but I did something similar by making myself Venus and the quesited became Mars and it worked the way you described. It was back in April when Venus and Mars were conjunct in Taurus. This is quite fascinating. Thank you for explaining. Have a great day.
