Hey, all. =]

I just want to figure out something simple.
Is the chart ruler the ruler of the Ascendant?
If so then my chart ruler would be Uranus.

But I keep being told otherwise, apparently my chart ruler is Mars but I don't see how this could be as I have nothing in Aries?

I know nothing!
Can someone explain how chart rulers are figured out?

Who is telling you otherwise? Can you post your chart? Generally, the chart ruler is the ruler of the sign on your ASC.

Chart ruler is definitely Uranus. The only thing I've ever heard that would be different than ruler of the 1st is if a planet is conjunct the ascendant. Even then, I have uranus conjunct my ASC and I was told the ruler is still Jupiter. (Sag rising)
