Hi All,

I'm a former user whose previous username seems to have disappeared...So here I am again!

I've been reading Linda's work since I was 16 and it's had a big effect on my life and the way I think. My birth chart is attached for anyone kind enough to have a read...

I'm particularly interested in any info on my romantic situation and also how to become more authentic.

Wishing you all a happy Tuesday from England!

Clare

Umm – organised, dependable, independent, hard working, generous, bright, caring. Talkative, sensitive (but hides it well), friendly.

Yes, it was always very important to me that I owned my own home. I have done very well out of property and generally have a comfortable lifestyle through working hard and being financially careful. I like nice things, but am becoming less attached to having so many as I get older!

Was your childhood hard? Can you explain?

Yeah, pretty hard but I was also amazingly blessed in many ways. My paternal grandfather was seriously ill shortly after I was born which meant my parents didn’t have the time to give me the attention I needed. As a child (up until my early teens) this manifested itself as a huge problem where I wouldn’t go stay away from home or even have my bedroom furniture moved about without completely freaking out. I eventually conquered this through sheer bloody mindedness but still have echos of this insecurity today.

Also, my mum suffered panic attacks and took valium – I think she might also have been agoraphobic? My dad was a pretty tough cookie who wanted it all his own way, didn’t want to deal with his wife’s problems and was a pretty strict and angry father figure. I also had issues with my sister who was born when I was three and have always felt like her birth kinda ruined my nice little world.

However, now I can see that my parents loved me very much and tried their best with the knowledge and skills they had at the time. I was very spoilt materially and had a lovely country childhood with a very traditional mum.

Yes, I usually want to help people in whatever way I can but I don’t feel insecure about this, beyond the normal nervousness I might get about doing new stuff…

I used to think my biggest drive was sex (or my career/money), although I am trying to temper that and do things differently as it hasn’t brought me much happiness. I have had a lot of boyfriends / partners but none for the past 18 months whilst I finished my degree and tried to sort my head out a bit. Fun, hmm, yeah I guess although I am working through what fun means to me now that I no longer drink (and gave up drugs about 10 years ago). Creativity is an interesting one, as I think I’m not creative (a hang up from my childhood). But I do love to sing, garden, cook, re-design my house, write and engage in “new age” type stuff (I had a gong sound bath session last week). I'd like to explore my creativity more as a means of accessing my authentic self...

Ha – yes, I worked my way up to a very well paid job working in the web industry then packed it all in three years ago to re-train as a nurse! Before my web job I had done various office type jobs of varying stature and prior to that I was at Uni studying Drama and English…so quite a varied career!

Yes, I went to learnt to meditate 8 years ago, heard the Dharma (Buddhist teachings) and have never looked back. The Dharma makes such utter sense to me and I love my Buddhist community. Buddhism has really changed my life and continues to do so, it is a great self-development tool and probably one of the main reasons why I ended up re-training as a nurse (although I do think I would have re-trained at some point anyway).
Higher education – yes, my nursing training has again been an amazing self development experience for me in so many ways. I never realised that I could love a job so much, be so good at it and also I never realised how much I love people and talking to them!

Hi Ami Anne,

Hope you are well.

Just wondered if you had any more thoughts on my chart?

With love,
