Linda Goodman was my introduction to astrology.
She has my utmost respect and admiration.
I hope she has found peace in the next journey of her spirit.
That being said , my hat is off to Ami....her time and dedication to helping people is to be rewarded.....This site/forum has huge potential...but I believe a person's chart is sacred...and the fact others can permanently post your thoughts / documentation bothers me...

Thank you for your kind words but talking about the charts is the way to explore them to both learn about Astrology and ourselves.
About privacy, a person could delete one's posts if he found the discussion offensive.
I suppose if one did not want his chart and personal info on here at all he would not ask for a reading.

Arrggh i can't make up my mind on this one.

I think if the person being read retains complete control over the direction of the reading, and the areas covered by the reader, it is fine. Readings of any type can go in any direction.

I agree with Ami that exchange between reader and read is important, and it means that if it enters areas the read does not want read, then the direction can be changed, or the reading stopped.
It's all about communication, and respect between the reader and the read.

If someone wants a private reading go to a professional,pay for it and it will be totally private.

I noticed in the thread where I did a reading for you, you edited all of your posts. If privacy is a concern, you can ask me to edit out what I quoted of yours. You can also indicate in your original post that you'd prefer if people didn't quote you. This is a forum, though, and anyone is going to be able to read what you post. It's the nature of this medium. Like Ami said, if you want absolute privacy, pay for a private reading. I, and I'm sure others, use this forum not only to provide readings, but to observe others in order to learn more. It's all about communication, gurl.

Sometimes these forums can be very emotional,and bring forth vulnerabilities.If in retrospect one feels "TMI" has been revealed editing is an option,yes...It would be nice if one could delete reposted quotes also without asking the responder.

Professional readings are an option..and risky if you don't know your astrologer. My stepdad is a professional astrologer ...so professional readings are free for me..it is always nice to get different perspectives tho.

In my Guidelines I state that my readings get deep cuz that is who I am--an 8th house person.
I want people to know that before they request a reading from me.
That is why I wrote the Guidelines.

Thank you. Being 8th house is very central to who I am as a person.I do not want to even start on a reading that cannot go where the chart takes it.
The person can always stop but I need the freedom to talk about what I see.
If not, they need to find someone else lol
