Topic: Solar Return - New Moon, Mars & Venus Returns...

Hello everyone!
My birthday was a couple of months ago but I am still finding my solar return chart to be very intriguing. Nothing is really happening and this is strange because last year’s solar return caused so much to happen right away with very minimal effort (same as now). I mean, the action started literally two days after my birthday! This year, nothing seems to be going (yet) on even though my solar return chart contains a New Moon, Venus return and a Mars return…Does anything stand out?

Okay, since this post is going over like a lead balloon, I will break it down to one simple thing:I want my ex back...does it look like it might happen? Phew, glad that is out in the open! Now the replies can start rolling in, lol! IP: Logged |

I can't answer that question from the SR. Just wanted to say that New Moons in SR seem to be quite rare, I had only 2 in my whole life, one also being this year, in my 5th house. At the beginning of my SR I wanted my ex back too, but lots of romantic interests came soon after so I eventually got over my ex. Unfortunately neither of them stuck, so I'm still by my lonely self (but I still have half of my SR to work through). What I can say for sure is that there will be some action in the romance department, maybe with a foreigner (Jupiter in the 5th; ruler of DC in the 9th). As for that New Moon in the 8th, with Venus, I'm gonna guess, among other things, your sex life might get very interesting! I had sex shortly after my SR begun (after a very loooong time, with my ex!) with that New Moon in the 5th, which is also a sexual house. If you specifically want to know if you're getting back with your ex, ask a horary. Lots of luck to you!  ------------------

Thank you for take on things Hera!It is funny you should mention foreigners…
Last year I dated two men, one a lawyer and one foreign, and Libra (which rules my natal 9th) was on the SR ascendant and SR Jupiter was on the descendant. SR Venus was in the SR 12th though and they were pretty low key relationships but I met the lawyer 2 days after my birthday! I want him back though :-( I haven’t had luck in the past with horary charts – they have been wrong every time so I am staying away from them and solar returns have been right every year so far…

Well, about horaries... If they seem to be wrong, maybe you should change your aproach. Sometimes looking at a different significator changes things completely. Or maybe you should add outer planets in the mix. I don't know your method for horaries, but I believe the truth is in the chart, if you look at it from a different perspective. I was disappointed with them too at the beginning, but I changed my tacics and went a little against classic textbooks and now they work for me. IP: Logged |

I usually use Celeste Teal’s method, with the outer planets. But even little, easy things have been wrong or my chart has been “unreadable” because of early or late ascendants, moons via combusta, blah, blah. It is frustrating and I don’t have patience for it. The solar returns though, I look at them after the fact and they have all been great and in some cases, very literal (the lawyer/foreigner thing from last year, I also got my masters degree that year so more 9th house/Jupiter/Libra stuff).
The thing is, I can’t see the solar return chart objectively, especially when it comes to the love stuff so I need outside help with it. I mean, I was just focusing on the New Moon and Venus/Mars returns and the scary-ness of the 8th house so, I don’t know. I am just so confused and in the wrong mindset right now :-(
