Many thanks! Looking forward to it. Read some of your other readings. Really insightful. Would love to see your interpretation so I could learn how to read charts better myself. IP: Logged |

Guess what my job is? I am a management consultant. Quite true and interesting read on it. My friends are mostly females. They dont usually come to me for a shoulder to cry on, but when they want some cool-headed advice, they remember me.

Hmmm...I wont say I had a hard childhood. I have parents who love me (though they are themselves separated). Maybe my Saturn in 1st is exhibited through self-criticism. I tend to do post-mortem on everything, why I couldnt have done better, what I did wrong. And I am very conscious of what people think of me and my performance. However, I think if handled correctly, it is what helps me improve over the long run. Maybe my Leo personality keeps me reasonably confident even with Saturn self-criticism. Probably things did get easier after Saturn return in terms of true confidence in own ability and worth

Well, it's painful when we have an argument, but there's plenty of love too. My mom is my lighthouse and role model. But she also has high expectations on me: in terms of being independent at a young age. What she expects me to know as common sense and knowledge, I find out only when older most of my peers do not know (and thus impressed by my knowledge and thus coming to me for advice :P) We have our fair share of personality clashes and we know we love each other. She essentially makes me who I am in terms of core values. We have close relationship. I am still living with her (though my work takes me out-of-town a lot of time). IP: Logged |

Yes, Saturn in the 1st does make one determined and being able to put down strong roots in the world, but it seems very slow. Does it to you, too?------------------ Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I am learning to. I started as a means to better self-understanding. I was trying to learn the Chinese methods first, but found western astrology more intuitive for me.I tried to read bfs/friends/family charts on my own first, and just started to dare to share with friends my readings. If you dont mind being my guinea pig, I can try reading yours.

I do feel more comfortable with myself and in a sense happier than when I was in my teens/20s. Therefore I mentioned the saturn return. I think the 1st saturn cycle is the building block. We can say it is slow, but considering the average age is about 80yr, not too bad IP: Logged |

There were some harsh comments that I do remember. I have always been jealous of her stronger bond with my bro. She's more lenient on him and harsher on me. Eg when I got upset from sth at work and told her hoping she would give me a pat on the back, she would say "if I were in the position of your boss, I would do the same." Ouch! That hurts! (at that time anyway). Of course as I move nearer to the position of the boss over the years, I see the truth in her words (and appreciate them after the fact) IP: Logged |

Ok I look forward to it I have Saturn Retro conj the ASC. I have to overcome a great deal of negative conditioning from my mother about my abilities and strengths. Every ounce of personal strength I get, I have to work for and struggle for very, very hard.

Hear you! Although probably not as negative as you might feel (at least I felt annoyed and a bit discouraged, but not losing interest or depressed). My mom was critical or put me down in areas that she exceled better or she had no interest, e.g. sports and the performing arts. I know I am not sport star or music talent, but I expect most parents will say encouraging words to their children if they show improvement etc. I got non of that from my mom. Would be glad if she didnt say I would be better off quitting. Academically I was doing good and thus not focus of her criticism. IP: Logged |
