Hello everyone -

I have a very important (life changing!) job interview on 11/15 and I was wondering if my transits look good, or what I should watch out for...

Here is the chart:

How does it look?

ETA: The Sun conjunct my MC exact looks promising!

It looks good from a quick look!
T Sun just over your MC, and T Saturn conj your ruler of the 6th.
If the job is with a big org/institution, I think you have a lot of potential for success. T Pluto, ruler of your 10th, about to enter your 12th.
T Mars in your 7th, so make sure you are not impulsive in your responses. Keep any excessive Mars energy under the lid, so to speak. Think before you speak. Very important. They might even test you on that front on purpose...

good luck!
pls keep us posted, ok?

Thank you Anongrl, I was hoping you'd check this out!

The job isn't at a big corporation but it is for a fairly large organization with many satellite locations. However it would make me part of a large professional organization (I hope that makes sense, I am being cryptic so I don't give away too much before it happens!)...

I will post updates, thank you again!

Well, it didn't turn out as well as I thought it would. I am supposed to hear from them by Friday...

Oh well, I guess I should try to find some other options...

So...

I might was well tell the entire story because it doesn't make sense cryptically...

On November 1st I realized that if I want to teach full time in NJ I have to get my feet even more wet by teaching in schools around where I live. So I called a couple of preschools in my area (NY - because they are private and don't have as many rules about certification), and I asked if they were looking for teachers/aides/substitutes. One place, where I actually did my observation to get the NJ certificate, said that they were in fact looking for subs. So, instead of doing what I usually do, which is ask if I can e-mail or fax my resume (the passive approach), I decided just to go there and apply. The next day, I went to the school, asked for an application and gave my resume, references, the works. I was only expecting a sub job, which is what I wrote on the application.

The next day I get a call from them. They said that they would like to consider me for a lead teacher position. I was so excited! I thought that this was the break I was waiting for, yay! Finally, something bit! So my interview was scheduled for 11/15.

I prepared for the interview by reading my old notes on the school and memorizing the buzz words that they use("environment plan" instead of lesson plan, flashing lights as a transition, etc.). I thought I would do a great job...

So I get there and I find out that they are interviewing lots of people for this job on the same day because of a passing comment that the director made ("okay, so we'll do all of the interviews downstairs, so tell all of the applicants to go there..."). That totally took the wind out of my sails, deflated my balloon, made me want to shrivel up and die, etc. I mean, I knew that there would be other candidates but just knowing that for a fact messed me up. I mean, I don't have a degree in early childhood education, I just have a certification and my degrees are in health, behavioral sciences, health sciences, etc. Someone who is an actual teacher with the actual qualifications could take this job easily. Even one of the subs working there already has a leg up on me! Of course, I would think this to myself but I didn't need to know it.

So I do the interview, in front of the panel and I do an okay job. I wasn't my usual perky, peppy self because I didn't expect to hear from them, I just didn't get a good vibe or feeling during the interview.

About an hour ago (three weeks later) I get a call from them asking if I'd like to sub still, since they have already filled the lead teacher position and I originally asked to sub. I said "Sure!" and set up a time to give them my info, trying to pull up as much enthusiasm as I could. I really don't want to now. Maybe it is my Leo pride but, they got me excited about the lead teacher position and I don't care to be a sub. It is like they dangled the carrot, gave it to someone else in front of me, and offered me the green top. Gee, thanks. Plus I have subbed for other schools and I know that the sub opportunities are few and far between. So...

Now I don't even want to teach. I think I should try for more HR/trainer assistant jobs so I will have more experience under my belt when I get that 2nd masters in HR Management next year...

My question: I don't know. What should I do? What looks good?

OK, I'm responding but it's truly late here and I may make no sense at all (lol).
Girl, you persuaded yourself out of the job! They saw your credentials and offered you the lead position but you didn't believe you can get it. Then they offer you a sub position and you already talk yourself out of it by saying such posts are few and far between. If I were you, I would be excited with them offering me a "few and far between" post after me blowing their original expectation! They LIKE you! In the lead or not, they consider you DESPITE what you think about your credentials!
I have no eyes for any charts right now, but I would look inside for ways to raise that self-esteem. Also think if you like to teach. If you DO like it, don't blow it after just one disappointment! Perseverance! Where's your Lion's roar?!

hugs!

Thank you Anongrl10! You have really helped me throughout this process.

I should take a hint: This is the second time in 24 hours that someone has referenced my low self-esteem as a reason for my, uh, failures (sorry, I couldn't find a better word).

I really don't know what to do about that though, it is deeply ingrained. I am aware of it though and I am trying...

Plus, it is easy to feel beaten down when you've been on a million interviews and haven't heard from one of the jobs (darned economic climate!).

Anyway, yes, I am trying to make myself feel excited about the substitute position. I mean, who knows, at least my foot is in the door.

Well, I start subbing tomorrow! I found out that I am the only substitute so there will be a lot of work for me, almost full time, but not quite (they don't want to give out those benefits, ya see). So, this is good and it actually works out. I am just nervous!!!

Okay...

SO I got my certification in early childhood education because my college offered it and I had done some work in education before (high school) and I thought I would like working with the youngest kids the best...

...I was wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Today was my first day and it was terrible. The kids were bad, the day was long. I didn't get a good feeling at all. It was just awful.

I had some much riding on the early childhood thing and now I know it is wrong for me. I guess I am back to the career drawing board...

I actually really love my job now!

That first day I was in the preschool with 4 and a half to five year olds and it was not good. It is funny because that is where I wanted to be from the start but after teaching/watching in the infant division I realize that this is something I really want to do. It is not even like a job to me, I am very happy!

The thing is...the pay...

I am hoping to grow and take on other roles in the organization though, possible in the health sector, but I do love the teaching part.

We'll see what happens!
