I've known him for about two years... he was 100% in the "friend zone" for me that whole time, up until last week, partly because both of us were in relationships for most of the time we knew each other. When we were having lunch the other day something completely changed with a single prolonged gaze of eye contact, and wham, I'm suddenly smitten. I'm pretty sure he feels the same way.

Could it work out?

His Mars in your 12th house. Do you feel he understands you in a deeper level when compared to how most people understand you?

Curiously enough, Mars is also in the composite 12th. Do you guys have any reason to hide your love from the people you know?

Oh my goodness... YES to both questions. In fact, the moment I started falling for him was right after we had a very deep conversation in which he pinpointed some things about me that no one else ever had, and made me feel completely understood. (All our Mercury trines might be related to that as well.)

And funnily enough, we do have to keep our love hidden for two reasons. One is that we both have very pubic jobs, and a relationship between us would spark a lot of gossip and attention, so we would have to stay under the radar to avoid that. The other reason is that my (very recent) ex boyfriend is good friends with him and if we started dating, it would be a dagger in his heart.

What made you question if it would work out?
The 12th house issues (private/hidden relationship etc.) could go away at some point. Do you have any other doubts?

"What made you question if it would work out?"

From a synastry standpoint, it just doesn't look that strong. I'm used to seeing a lot more conjunctions with personal planets, and better house overlays (nothing is in each other's 7th, 5th, or 8th, for example)... lots of squares to Venus, etc. I want to trust my heart over astrology, but I tend to jump into relationships too quickly before I see them clearly (my Aries Venus square Neptune), and whenever I look at my relationships in retrospect, the synastry has always played out pretty accurately.

Sorry to say this but the relationship will not work out in the long term.

Neptune conjunct Sun and Saturn conjunct Ascendant in the Synastry are tempting you to commit errors that can create negative karma.

Composite is not too bad though. However, the getting smitten factor could just be the Venus Transit in Composite 5th.

Thanks for your honesty, IQ! Would the Valentine-Amor conjunction on my descendant do anything to combat those aspects?

*bump* There is also an exact Psyche-Eros square, if it matters.

Ah the eros/psyche contacts are very special imo. I have personally experienced the conjunction with someone who i am not compatible with but it was very powerful. Even after i started avoiding him, i would magically end up running into him, and it felt very fated, in fact it still does. We met by chance, and bonded immediately, unlike i have with anyone else.

I have heard this is a very common aspect between family members, and when i checked to see if my daughter and i have it, indeed we do, a conjunction. But whats really amazing is that my daughter and i have a eros/psyche conjunction, and her dad and her have the conjunction... But he and i do not..

I have also heard that a tight sun/venus/mercury conjunction in a composite usually manifests itself into a very loving relationship, and yours is in the 7th house, the chart ruler conjunct the sun.. moon conjunct pluto (very intense involvement with one another). That's a very badly afflicted mars however.

Good luck to you

Im not an expert, but based on the synastry it seems to be more likw a platonic friendship than a relationship.

Mainly because the Sun neptune conjunction, mars square neptune, venus square sun... and also the house overlays suggest to me that its more likely a friendhsip. You could be great colleagues though or be supportive toward each other careerewise with the mutual MC - North Node conjunction and with AC-MC conjunction.

There is a Venus square Pluto aspect though which could add intense sexual vibes to your relationship, but its up to what you do with it.
