Ok I will do some posts and you respond and we can discuss it and then move on.Vesta conj ceres in Aqua in the 11th. Are you a very nurturing person? I could kind of feel it in our small interchange. Do you want to give to people in a global way? Are you interested in the Peace Corp or Vista type of charities etc ------------------

Do you love groups and all that groups offer, especially groups that help on a global stage?Can you be very direct with your words? (mars conj mercury). I LOVE this aspect. What you see is what you get. You tell it like it is.Is this true? ------------------

Do you feel the goal to be of service but worry you are not up to it. Do you feel that you must really struggle to meet the high standards you have, particularly of how you want to serve others, your standard of such?------------------

Hi Ami:Most of what you've picked up on is accurate, with few exceptions: 1. Groups are very important to me, not in the way of cliques or seeking popularity; but rather getting to know people of all walks of life and then bringing them together.
2. Humanity and it's causes are important to me, and are at the center of who I like to think I am: but doing anything of meaning to solve the world's problems has not been something I've done. When I was a kid, I organized a fundraiser for Toys for Tots, staged a walk out to protest the war in Iraq (the 1st one!); but by now, I'm mostly apathetic about making change to big structures (though I'm a huge supporter of Occupy)...I try to make change on a micro level these days, by being involved in my community.
3. I do have a hard time letting go of the bad things people say - probably because they reflect my inner harshest critic.
4. I'm seen by friends as incredibly nurturing, mother type, which strikes me as odd - because though it's true, I do take immensely good care and nurture those I love (and I love friends easier than anyone), I consider myself to be pretty self-absorbed in my role as a mother. I struggle with this a lot especially right now, my role as a parent: and that feeling of inadequacy you picked up on.
5. Yes, I have a terrible sense that I'm not worthy enough to do all that I feel so stirred to do for everyone. It's killing me right now with Mars transit atop my Saturn, and Saturn transit conjunct my Pluto. Feeling horrible about myself these days.
6. I am am artist, photographer, dream of singing with a band, went to school for Interior Design; but my career is decidedly dull: accountant. Chosen to be responsible to my obligations in life always, rather than pursue my dreams...but, also always had that nagging self-doubt.
7. I don't struggle with my spirituality, in fact, this is one area of my life that is solid (except when my depression kicks in - which of course is when i need it most!) Actually, I'm a medium, Clairsentient, clairvoyant, and a gifted Tarot reader. Reading for myself is another story (can anyone do it I wonder?!) 
8. Relationships are such a struggle for me - they weren't always: at 20, I me my first love, and we were mostly happily together for 4 years. Once we split up, I became the serial monogamist, and went through two serious relationships before having my daughter at 29. The relationship with her father has been a helluva ride; and with the man before just was wrong. There's been no one of significance in my love life since her father and I split, 18 months ago, but I long for someone special. I think though, there's a bit of work to be done here before I can apply myself to a relationship. Wow, I'm telling you a lot. I'm not sure if this is TMI; please let me know if it's overkill. NO it is not too much. My doing the charts for people seems to open up their lives. I am not bragging about myself. I have been looking for someone to do mine  The point it, please delve deeply in to yourself with the aid of astrology and someone who care to help. ------------------

Lets take this point. venus conj MC. Do you have a career in the beauty field? I think you said you do, your avocation.Ok but this squares the AC. Do you feel that you cannot really SHOW your love in your daily life. Now this would square the DSC, too and oppose the IC.OK, is your love nature kind of reserved for your career? When I have a sense of a large revelation such as this, I will wait until you answer. Really, the chart is so profound, one could spend a week on one aspect. I have such a reverence for Astrology!------------------

Dear Ami --I'm happy to try taking a look at your Natal. I tend to look at progressions (I put a lot of personal stock in them, major life events can be predicted in my experience - or maybe it's my personal gifts in clairsentience?)... Okay - Venus Conj the MC...I WISH I'd had the gumption to make aesthetics my career - but there's that whole self-worth/self-esteem issue. Blechh... Definitely have issues showing my love in my daily life...for instance - you asked about whether or not people see me as nurturing, and yes, my friends all recognize me as nurturing - but it is those whom I love the most that I have the most difficulty expressing my love to. I always feel somehow as if they feel I'm not good enough for them, (logically, a total projection, I know); and I end up creating distance from that painful feeling by creating space between those who I want to feel closest to. All I really want is LOVE...And, I'm in LOVE with FALLING in LOVE. It's highly problematic for long-term relationships. I'm loyal and tenacious once in a relationship, almost to everyone's detriment. I'll stick with someone even when I'm no longer feeling warm and fuzzy... And, my feelings are a moving target. Probably one of the reasons I'll stick things out so long...I know eventually I'll come right back to where I started. Damn Cancer Moon on IC. IP: Logged |

WP we should look at asteroids on your chart too. You can do it whenever you want, if you want. There is no rush as we just started the natal but if you have really low self esteem issues, the asteroids show it well. if you do a chart with asteroids, put it on a separate thread, please. For now, I will go on with this. I am gonna put up an article I wrote about low self esteem. I think it may help.It helped me to write it ------------------

Why Does One Have Low Self Esteem?

Many things can cause your self to shrivel . Abuse and trauma are the obvious ones. In the chart,one can see these things even before one ever talks to the person. Why some people are born to abuse and others are spared cannot be answered from our earthly vantage point. However, one can see abuse from the chart. The question becomes how to heal it? The concept of the “self” is the answer. One’s “self” is more precious than gold. Without it, all the gold in the world will not be enough. I suppose the first factor is to feel one is worth something. That conceptual, understanding may be, simply, missed by those who have been abused. They may feel the opposite, that they are worth nothing. The self concept of an abuse victim is fraught with message upon message of the their inherent lack of value. These concepts are held together as bricks on a building held together with cement. They are resistant to change because these old concepts held one together, up to this point. It was one’s mind’s best adaptation to abuse. As such, it was a life saving mechanism
