I just had a long, impromptu talk with my director (two rungs up from me) and he said that he thinks I do well at managing people - that I should perhaps go for a PMP and go the project management path.

I just don't feel that in me.
At all.
Edited to add: And I definitely don't feel like I exude that vibe - I generally feel a good deal more scattered.

But it's not the first time I've heard something similar from people. One of my colleagues even swears I should go into politics

What do you see in my chart to indicate that people would have this perception of me?

Are my NN and Mars in Leo in the 10th running wild?

pluto in 12th COULD make you really work on Pluto and your own power as a way to overcome the 12th house placement. This can happen with hard placements and produce superstars imo

Saturn in 11th. groups will be hard BUT you will overcome and do well if you keep at your own development

venus conj Chiron conj the DSC
Maybe you are a very pleasing kind of person as you "find" love/venus outside yourself and as such do well with people .

You understand pain, too, and may be good in human relations, due to this.

mars conj NN. Your goal in life is action, direction and meeting goals. It is in the house or career and enlarged by Jupiter. It is made lucky by Jupiter, too.

I would say this may be your answer.

Thanks, Ami!

I'm going through and trying to analyze my own chart, but some stuff's stumped me.

Thank you for your insight

Edited to add: I'll mull on your answers and will likely respond later tonight.

Could you elaborate on how working on Pluto/one's power would be likely to manifest?

I never feel entirely comfortable in groups of more than a few - in fact, I had quite a stuttering problem (in front of classes, etc) as a child.
For the most part, I've gotten over that - though I still dislike being in an overt leadership position. I keep getting placed in them, though.

I'm not quite sure I understand.

Yes.
In person, I also seem able to make quick, accurate appraisals of people's strengths and weaknesses.

Now only to find something / a career that I find interesting/compelling enough for all of that

Again, thanks Ami.

Well, with the Pluto, I may have been grasping at straws. My thought was that Pluto may be hard for you, as it is in the 12th. You may strive so hard to overcome this that you may be a super powerful person. I will give you some info on Pluto and Pluto in the 12th and you tell me what you think.

Ok about Venus in the 7th. We can look for the 7th house planet OUTSIDE of ourselves.

I will put some things up to explain this and you tell me what you think

Pluto
By amiann | Published: January 1, 2012

My dear friends asked me to write about Pluto in the houses. First, I would like to talk about Pluto, on it’s own. Pluto rules Scorpio. Scorpio is unique in being the most passionate sign of the Zodiac. Some planets do wonderfully in Scorpio. They fit, as a hand in a glove. Others squirm under the intensity as if held too tightly in a suit which is too small. Each planet rules a part of us. Pluto rules our passions. I was listening to Bolero by Ravel. That is Pluto. Music expresses Pluto best. If you listen to an opera with your heart and soul and put your mind in suspended animation, you will touch Pluto.

As one can imagine, some people are in touch with their Pluto energy. Some are not. If you have Saturn in Scorpio, your primal passions may seem like aliens. Everyone has a Saturn in some sign. As such, some energy will be harder for each of us. I did an article on Saturn in the signs. You can check out yours and see if this is the case. However, back to Pluto. The Mars sign which deals with Pluto the best is Mars in Scorpio. They seem to morph in to a feral animal with the grace and majesty of a tiger in the wild. Mars in Scorpio deals with primal passions as a Gemini deals with words, effortlessly, naturally. Many other signs stumble in these places that have no direction but the drumbeat of one’s own soul.

Pluto is a force to which one must deal, either willingly or forcibly. If one does not embrace one’s own Pluto, one will be brought to one’s knees when Pluto comes by in transit(in the present day skies). If one thought one could live in the cerebral realms, one will be disavowed of this notion when Pluto comes by. Pluto is akin to the Three Little Pigs. Each house fell at the hands of the wolf except the one built with bricks. One’s life will be torn down, in the same way, if one thinks Pluto can be consigned to the attic or the basement while one goes out in to the world in a tailored suit with carefully placed diamond cufflinks. Pluto will blow all houses down except those constructed of bricks, which is reality, a true understanding of what is inside of ourselves, and hence, what is in others.

12th House Planets
By amiann | Published: December 14, 2011 |

Some respected Astrologers shirk when they see planets in the 12th house. They shirk with empathy for the person who must deal with planets placed here. The astrological chart is the wheel of life. It goes from birth to death. The 12th house represents death. As such, the person is not your typical earth bound person occupied with earth bound pursuits. Some part of that person lives in the next dimension. As you can imagine, it makes the sphere of life represented by the 12th house planet harder. For example, if Venus, the planet of love, is in the 12th house, love comes harder for this person. This person may see other people falling in love, seemingly effortlessly, and wonder “Why, me? why is it so hard for me?” Venus in the 12th house wants love, as much as any other Venus, or person, but the 12th house makes Venus not in step with the ways of the world, almost awkward and self doubting. If one has Mars in the 12th house, one’s anger and drive may turn inward to such a degree that the person may boil with anger, but be afraid to express it. This would be a classic aspect for passive-aggression. The Sun in the 12th may make one insecure about shining one’s light, standing out and standing up for one’s unique identity. Saturn in the 12th may want to join in a group, but will wait on the sidelines, for fear of rejection. Pluto in the 12th may push his primal emotions in to the realm of fantasy and be driven by sexual fantasies that seem to propel him to places he does not wish to go. Uranus in the 12th house may, similarly, have fetishes and unusual ways that may cause him to feel he is different in a way that may feel hopeless. Jupiter in the 12th house may make the person feel as if luck is elusive. Other people seem to get all the breaks while he watches from the sidelines. Jupiter in the 12th may protect the person from near miss accidents . It is called the Guardian Angel placement. Neptune is the easiest planet to have in the 12th house, but it is not easy. No 12th house placement is. This person may be psychic. I have this.

Full Seventh House—-Loss of Identity?
By amiann | Published: January 7, 2012

I was contemplating the Seventh House, as that of the “other”. In doing charts, I have seen that people with a full Seventh House may feel a lack of personal identity and look for it in a partner. This makes sense. If one has any planet in the Seventh, one may look to find the qualities of this planet in a partner. If one has Venus in the Seventh House, one may not feel love for oneself until a partner mirrors love.If one has the Sun in the Seventh House, one may find his identity in the partner. If one has Mars in the Seventh House, one may use the partner as the anger rod while one’s own anger stays submerged. If one has Pluto in the Seventh, one may find one’s passion in the arms of a lover, only, and not be connected to one’ s primal self, otherwise. If one has the moon in the Seventh, one may not feel a connection to one’ s emotions, unless in a relationship. One may look for an emotional partner. If one has Uranus in the Seventh, one’s rebellion may be submerged as one finds a rebellious and lets him act it out. If one has Jupiter, here, one may look for an optimistic, jovial partner .One may not be able to access this side of oneself, without the help of the partner. If one has Saturn, here, one may look for a task master. One may not be disciplined without the help of a Father-figure kind of partner.Asteroids open up a plethora of avenues. I will explore that in another article

Wow! Thank you for all of that information!

If by "difficult" you mean "I don't seem to have the capacity for exhibiting it," - Yes
Throughout childhood I was always called "very bright" and placed in accelerated classes, but I could never keep things organized - and my handwriting's atrocious. My two Taurus Sun daughters keep track of things for me, and my Gemini Sun husband seems to have accepted that when I ask him where something of mine is, it's not because I think he should keep track for me...just that he's probably done a much better job of noticing where I put it than I could ever hope to do.
[Aside: In fairness, I am very good at intuiting where stuff may be or what may have to be done to fix something. I can never articulate why - it just "seems" right."]
The one exception to my Virgoan energy antagonism may be that I hours can fly by as I edit or format something.

7th House Venus

Hm.
I've gone long stretches of time happily not in a relationship - but when I am in one, yeah, it would be fair to say that a good deal of my happiness is pinned to it.
That may not be the most healthy way to be, but there it is.
For instance, my current husband loves, respects, values me and it's quite nice. His valuing of me has very much translated into a greater self-value, and has done a great deal to help to heal past hurts. (We have some fun stuff going on with Chiron both in synastry and composite that may reflect this.)

My first marriage...well, it was not like that, and friends and family commented on my changed (down) demeanor.

It would also be fair to say that I very much value harmony in personal relationships. Strife-ridden romances aren't my thing.

quote:
Pluto in the 12th may push his primal emotions in to the realm of fantasy and be driven by sexual fantasies that seem to propel him to places he does not wish to go.

I can have a temper, but it's always seemed more a Uranian "I'm-really-angry-right-now-and-now-it's-done" thing than Plutonic rage.
*thinking*
What I can definitely see in myself is a despair which will surface for about 30 minutes every once in a great while - but then it's "gone". Something relatively small will happen (something which may not usually effect me to that degree or in that way) and then, "LIFE is RUINED! EVERYTHING is GONE! GONE and DONE!"...and then once it's been purged, it's "done" for the time being.

re: exuding power: I've heard that I can be quite intimidating, though I feel far from it.
