I met a man, recently, embodies Orchus. He has Orchus conjunct the North Node. The North Node chart shows our life purpose. This mans life has been a study in Orchus. Orchus forces one to survive against harsh odds. This man had such a life story. He left home at 14. He met the love of his life and they married. They lost one child , at birth, from a genetic kidney disease . He and his wife donated a kidney to another child. He is a successful banker and wants to have an orphanage for children, one day. One of my Astrology teachers said that Orchus is Rocky, down for the count. Rocky uses all his strength to stand up. Orchus forces the native of an Orchus dominant chart to do the same.

Chiron is the deepest pain that won't heal. hekate is the shadow side. What pain do you have in your shadow side you will not expose to the light?

I am trying to understand this asteroid. Forgive me, if I err. There is precious little about many of the asteroids. The information out there can seem contradictory and thus, confusing. One must hone down each asteroid to it’s core quality in order to use it in the charts.One does not have room for intellectual mumbo-jumbo because one is trying to illuminate the lives of others.With that in mind, I will try to write about Hekate. This asteroid is the shadow self. It was called a “demon” . This term demon helps to illuminate Hekate. Demons are spiritual forces, which if let alone, will being us to our knees. They are powerful forces. However, if one brings them to the Light, they evaporate, as if to nothing. Hekate, strives to bring our unconscious self forward. Our unconscious self houses socially unacceptable emotions. One can get in trouble if these emotions stay blocked, as they can become a volcano and erupt, or stay inside and eat us up, from the inside . I would say that one could look at Hekate as the shadow self, as expressed by Jung . Hekate IS your Shadow Self, striving for you to take it out and bring it to the light. Asteroids can keep one busy, forever. There are , always, new ones to learn. There are,always, exciting ways that the asteroids play out in charts. The asteroid Lucifer is the story of pride. The” myth” asteroids follow the myths from which they are derived. One must hone down the myth to a few central themes. Then,one has the meaning to which one may apply the chart. Lucifer wanted to be number one. He was the most beautiful being ever created. He was not an ugly creature, as some people surmise. He had illuminating beauty such that one ‘s breath would be taken away. Lucifer wanted to be God. Lucifer saw men worship God and he wanted the worship for himself. He rebelled against God. That was not a wise move and it sealed his fate, forever. His final destination is the Lake of Fire. Pride brought Lucifer to this. He was not happy with his portion. He wanted all the power and all the glory. As such, he fell to nothing. The asteroid Lucifer, in the chart, will show where you have inordinate pride.

Hekate is the shadow side. I would postulate that you would need to face the pain in you, the deepest pain you have, with this aspect.
