What To Do If You Are Depressed? By amiann | Published: December 21, 2011 | I do three things, I try to hold on to the feeling and not push it away. I try to talk to someone and hopefully cry, Crying is like a shower that takes away pain. It cleanses you as a shower does. I know tears are from God because they are so healing. Secondly, I try to help someone. I don’t expect anything back. That has to be part of the equation. God will bring love back to you. When you feel you matter, your depression lifts. Thirdly, I laugh. That makes me feel better, immediately. Humor exists because life, simply, does not work. God made us with humor to soothe the hardships in life. Humor involves taking a risk to be outrageous.That may be why it is so rare. Humor is a risk because people may not like it and look at you like you are strange. However, in time, you will get stronger as a result of the risks. You will find your own unique and creative expression of yourself, which humor is. The root of depression,according to my Yoga teachers, is a squished down self, an inability to express one’s uniqueness, with all the strangeness and weirdness, which makes us human. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Kundalini Yoga By Ami | Published: November 14, 2011 Kundalini Yoga is one of the most joyful things you can do for your body. If you want to a natural high, consider Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga focuses on the breath. The breath is very important for a healthy, vibrant body. Many people are shallow breathers. In my experience, if people did the Kundalini Dog Pant breath for a few minutes a day, their energy would dramatically increase. I would suggest working it up to at least 15 minutes a day. I talk about the Dog Pant Breath in another journal entry. One of my Kundalini Yoga books says that all disease can be cured with Kundalini Yoga. The author has a Yoga school. She says she has seen AIDs cured. The person with AIDS, also, went to a natural doctor who used natural health modalities. I love to put on my favorite music and do Yoga. I try to do an hour a day, five times a week. I can do the Dog Pant breath for 15 minutes.I worked this up over several months Start slowly, please. Breathing exercises and Yoga are very powerful. Dog Pant Breath By Ami | Published: September 19, 2011 The dog pant breath is very easy. If it feels strange, at first, just give it time. With a little practice, it will be as easy as normal breathing. To learn it , you stick you tongue and pant as a dog does. Get comfortable with this. Then, simply close your mouth. You will know you are doing it right when you can do it,forever, without stopping, it feels like. It will feel very natural and not forced, at all. If it feels forced, you are not doing it right. Your abdomen should rise and fall so that when you put your hand on your abdomen, you hand will go up and down. It is best to do Kundalini Yoga when you have an empty stomach. It it suggested that you wait three hours after a mean. If you need a snack, have something light and raw, preferably, like a piece of fruit Practice and in time, it will be easy. Kundalini Yoga For Beauty and Energy By Ami | Published: August 26, 2011 Kundalini Yoga is your biggest beauty boost. You can throw away your expensive cosmetics and hair products and let the oxygen, in the breath, make you in to a natural beauty, in my experience. If you do Kundalini Yoga for a few weeks, I think you will find that you will be your most beautiful. The oxygen increase helps to make your skin radiant. Radiant skin and shiny hair are two of the most basic ingredients for beauty. I will be writing about raw food and juices, in another article, on beauty enhancers. If I had to choose one or the other. I would take the Kundalini breathing exercises as the most important contributor to natural beauty and energy. This is great Amianne! I'm gonna practice my breathing Thank you XOXO I love vegetables but I'm not that much into raw veggies. I eat very healthy but I could use some of the yoga you suggested and more walking. It's nice to tone up and feel strong. IP: Logged |
