It all comes down to which house system you use. In the whole signs house system, you don't have planets in one sign but in a different house. If your first house is Aquarius, all planets in Aquarius will be in the first house in that system. If you use Placidus or other systems, sometimes things get moved.
Placidus is commonly used today, but whole signs is older and was used often in the past.
If you want to see your chart in whole signs, you can go to astro.com, put in your birth time, then go to "Horoscope Drawings and Calculations", then go to "extended chart selection". Then, under "house system", click on "whole signs".
I personally am a whole signs person, very strongly, but I don't want to be bossy/tell you what to do.
