His MC in Libra, so it's no wonder he had misgivings about being in the IT field. Libra is about beauty and equality, mediation, and everything fair and lovely, working as a team. He needs a more "human" type of work, especially with that square between his 10H Pluto and his Moon in Cancer, in 7H of partnerships [not to mention his pMoon crossing his nPluto]. He could be a lawyer or paralegal, possibly even a therapist with that Pluto there, but I see a lack of dedication and discipline. Libra is also inherantly indecisive.

MC ruler, Venus, in the 11H of friends and aquaintances, conjunct his 2H ruler, Uranus. Income may come in spurts, or erratically, or he may have to rely on his friends from time to time. Uranus is a fickle beast, but this can be a positive placement, since the 11H also represents money made from one's career.

His sun in Sagittarius, together with Mars in Capricorn is normally a positive alignment, since the adventurous side of Sagittarius would combine with the ambition and stamina of a Capricorn Mars, but these are both locked away in the 12H. Moreover, his Saturn squares his 12H Neptune. He has ideals and dreams, but gets stuck in lala land. Saturn conjuncts his NN, so his lot in life is to learn discipline and responsibility. If he can master his Saturn, he can make his dreams come true.

His work environment involves a lot of chatter, or communication [Gemini]. This also denotes what one sees as a "job". This might be why he fell into IT.

In addition, his 8H is ruled by the 12H Sun, so he might feel like money just keeps slipping through his fingers, as if outside forces just keep draining it away.

Regarding transits, Saturn over his Pluto in the 10H is a doozy, since it coincides with his SA-Saturn. I have the transit, though mine is in the 8H. It indicates major career upheavals, and with nPluto, he feels like he's hitting a solid obstacle every time he tries. Persistence is the key here. In good news, Mars will be transiting his 10H here very soon.

Both pVenus and SA Venus in the 12H, plus several native planets, so he may take joy in becoming a therapist. His Moon in 7H Cancer also gives him a sensitive side he can use to touch base with others.
