Hhmmm, from my view point he wants you to be happy and enjoy yourself (9 of cups), "move on" (wheel of fortune) and don't wait around on him/don't waste your time (7 of pentacles rx).

He wants you to be happy and believes you can attain that elsewhere

Yes it makes so much sense, in fact, it kinda hurts... but I guess that's just how it is. I have already tried distancing myself, but he seems to gravitate closer. I don't want to push him away as it would sacrifice our friendship... I just needed to get rid of these unnecessary feelings, but I'm at a loss at this point as to how. I don't want to force it as it would be counterproductive, so I guess I just have to ride it out until everything's fine... I just need to love myself more.
