I have quite a few horary charts but am having some difficulty reading them and have some doubts:

- Can I read the questions I asked about myself (my life..) ? or is it require that I ask the question to someone else?
- Which time should I use (the time where I start formulating the question to myself?) or the time I go and enter the data in astro to draw the chart?
- Is there a limit to the number of horary charts you can draw within a time period. For example if I have several questions concerning different subjects during the same day but at different hours, would they still be valid?
and finally how long is an horary chart valid? (I heard about 2 to 3 months?)

EDIT: AND ! does the question has to be a yes/no answer ?
Can we ask questions such as "how does she/he feel about me?" and such..?

So I recently asked two question the first one being : Will I meet someone significant (lover and eventually start a relationship)in the next months ?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So I am Jupiter Venus and Moon and he is Mercury, Sun and Mars.

Jupiter is in Gemini ruled by mercury showing that I am very much thinking about this and wanting to meet someone.
Moon is in my first house with uranus. Moon show that feelings are playing affecting my outward behavior right now.
Uranus is in an applying opposition with mars in the 7th. Uranus is in aries rues by Mars and mars is in Libra rues by venus.
So this could either mean that I will actually meet someone unexpectedly and it will be exciting (?) I might be very much into him and him into me (because mars is in libra and thus venus ruled ?)(?) or it could also represent me trying to escape , get over an unhealthy crush I have on someone who is taken (uranus in aries, mars ruled showing that I am into him while the mars in libra and ruled by venus would then show that he is with someone else ?)
Mars and Saturn are in the 7th house which could indicate, that were I to meet someone, he could have aries and capricorn/aquarius placements or characteristics.
The 7th house ruler mercury is in the 6th house indicating that I could meet him in a work related place.
But overall since jupiter and mercury are in a separating sextile, the answer is very likely a NO, at least not int he very near future.
Also moon is in a separating trine from the sun, which also indicates a no, though the sun is in cancer (moon ruled). But the next aspect the moon makes is an opposition to mars (don't know how to read this though).
Venus is also in a separating trine from mars
The only aspect that could be favorable to a yes answer is jupiter being in a applying trine with mars.

That's how I read it so far, I'm truly a beginner and only have started a few weeks ago to learn horary charts. So am I getting this right ? Or am I completely lost? I'd appreciate anyone input on this.

Also I am having quite a hard time grasping dignities, how they work and how they influence the final judgement of an horary reading

i'm learning too, i'll try to help, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable comes to the rescue!

1. you can definitely read the questions about yourself
2. i always use only the time you enter @ astro, i focus on the question, write the data, check the time...
3. you get best results when you ask a question that is bothering you, is really important to you, not just asking random questions 5 times a day.
4. i've read the horary chart is valid 3-6 months (i think)
5. yes, it must be a yes/no question

you always check EVENT chart (not female/male)!

What was your original question?
Will I meet a man by the end? of what? month? You need to be specific.

Ok. I stick to the main significators.
You: Jupiter* + Moon + (Uranus)
Partner: Mercury* + Mars

I believe you can use Sun(for partner) if you are asking about a specific person, if it suits the significator better.

You have Saturn in 7th. If Saturn is one of the significators good, in your case it isn't, that itself shows obstacles in relationships are ahead for you. (If Saturn is in the 1st I believe the question could also be unreadable.)

Anyway, first you check the main significators. Jupiter+Mercury. Seperating with a sextile. Means no. Jupiter detriment in Gemini (detriment means you feel you are at disadvantage of sorts). The cadent houses 3/6/9/12 are considered weak houses. Mercury though is exalted in 6th house. I myself don't yet quite understand dignities&co and how it all fits together yet. lol

Jupiter(you) trine Mars(partner). It would show that while Mars in an angular is 'accidentally' dignified it's in a detriment house/sign. This person is not available (it trines Venus in applying aspect), even if it's an applying trine between you+him, too much detriment(disadvantage) between sign/houses.

that Uranus(you) oppo Mars(him) is applying but an oppo shows a challenge + detriment again.

the Moon is good in the 1st house, in the sign of Pisces hmm you could be disillusioned again with this Mars person since it's almost applying to Mars ; it does show that you do want a relationship, but at the same time the Moon is not really applying to the significators (within orb) at all. (except quincunx to Saturn(not favorable in this house))

Again though you need to be specific(clear) about your question. It seems your question wasn't quite. At the end the main significators I believe count most. Your answer seems to be a No.

You did pretty good yourself in my opinion!

I don't know if it helps, but that's all i've got. lol
=)

*edit* you got me thinking about when to write the time/ask the question. you know it would make sense, that if you are thinking really hard about something, decide to write the question on a piece of paper, check&write down the time, and then later just fill in the data @ astro ! i'll try that sometime.

Thank you, you helped a lot!
Your answers were very clear and the reading you did had much more depth than my beginner's attempt
My question was actually if I was going to meet someone significant (romantic wise) by the end of the year. (but I couldn't type anymore in astro.com)

Yes I read once that when you start forming the question inside your head (what you want to ask that is bothering you) you should take note of the time and then use it to draw the horary chart. But it's been confusing as to whether we use the time of "birth of the question in our mind" (which can be hard to track) or the time we actually ask the question to make a horary chart

Again thank you a lot for taking the time to answer me
