I don't know where else to post this but I was wondering if all these readings have a side effect or if there have been circumstances that have not been beneficial. I guess I'm especially interested in learning if when you open yourself up to angels spirits etc, if evil spirits appear. Or if maybe your body/ mind can't handle it at first. I've heard school rumors about conjuring spirits aka ouija board stuff. lol I heard that bad spirits were called and havoc thereafter. It was probably rumor but yeah I'd like to know from the readers on here if you've experienced anything odd. Thanks.  IP: Logged |

I'm no psychic so I have no idea if when using the power what's the effect. But tarot reading drains me physically. Feels tired after that. Although anything involving focus will drain me tarot has a bigger effect.Just my 2 cents. IP: Logged |

I always held the belief that when I conduct a tarot reading, it is between myself and the reader's energy. If anything, it is my higher self that aids me. I could be wrong in this, but that's the understanding I read with. I have felt situations or something that that have warned me, but as encountering another's energy that the querent was asking about. When it comes to actual astral readings and guided meditations, I had a bad experience with attracting something from that realm that I was luckily able to fend off. I don't ever want to do that again <__<. I lacked the experience to properly ground and shield, as well as the knowledge with dealing with that kind of stuff. That's what I get for listening to bubblegum, fluffy info without doing research first.

Interesting ?, cant wait to read more responses I think it depends on your views & feelings. If you approach readings w fear/guilt etc, due to an inner conflict w your beliefs, possible to feel anxiety and fearful. I do believe negative energy & possibly entities exist, but for the most part what we label as dark is our own unconciouss fears/projections. I have never completed a psychic reading, read my tarot cards off of intuition. In my beliefs, the cards operate as synchronocity, it is the person's own patterns/energies being reflected back in whichever order the cards fall. In terms of spirit, see it as the person's higher self giving a glimpse at overall pattern, which we all have within us to change at any moment (free will). With this perspective, no I dont fear the cards as they are just a tool That said, I do believe we all carry our energies w us all the time, and these may influence a reading. If Im feeling emotionally unbalanced (upset/sad/worried), will not read. If the other person is feeling this way, I also try not to read as the cards will then reflect this state instead of giving insight into the overall pattern. I read when Im feeling calm & free of outside distractions. I had a ouji board during my teens, and didnt connect w it well as an oracle. Ended up throwing it away and that was that, no weird occurances followed. I do believe spirits exist, however have never had a personal experience. I know some people do like to pray, bless themselves, or cast a protective energy circle prior to reading. I simply center myself mentally/emotionally & lightly cleanse my cards before and after a reading. I dont like to do more than a few readings at a time, as do get a little tired from concentrating. Plus I think itd be difficult to separate each person's readings w too many at once. In the end it all comes down to your own preferences, experiences, and perspectives IP: Logged |

It is my personal opinion, that evil energy can only enter if you invite it in. Ill-intentions are evil and therefore, I believe, would allow an opening inviting evil in. "Fear" is negative and therefore would allow negative energy to permeate. If your intentions are pure then you have nothing to worry about.  ------------------

Bad spirits always feed off people who obey with them, nothing can tell them off until things start to bite them. Trust became blind without them noticing it. And funny is, you don't even need an ouija board to invite them in. All you need to do is to join some kind of weird religion. I saw missionaries who said that they are not blind when they believe everything the church tell them. When I stopped believing in them because of a weird experience, I got bit back by that spirit, and it made me feel annoyed and mad, until I told my christian friend about that, and we prayed together, then it never came back again.IP: Logged |

[no psychic, just hyper-acute intuition and witches' blood]when i took up tarot was kind of instinctive what to do. i say a prayer to the universe claiming i take no pride in anything. wishing the person read for well is another key. my way of pulling cards is feeling the deck for cards that radiate heat more than others in response to questions this drains me a lot. as for evil spirits/energy.... i hope god protects me. as long as i do not misuse my skills [which i won't], should be fine IP: Logged |

I dont consider myself a psychic whatsoever. Personally I feel more drained when I do tarot. But maybe that's because I am not as familiar. Angel cards help me rememeber to have faith so I think doing readings for myself or others is always beneficial in my life. IP: Logged | |
