do you ever get a feeling like the cards are just cards?
how do you proceed when the cards seem scattered and random and the reading just doesn't seem right?

lately all my readings don't make sense.
ideally, in my opinion you shouldn't toss out a reading ever because it builds a bad precedent,

but do you guys have any exceptions, or ...?
is it a decision you don't take very lightly...or.. are you ok with throwing it out if it doesn't seem right to you?

Sometimes a few cards seem on topic but, distraction can lead to some things ending up skewed. I usually take a break from the cards for a little while then return to them with a purer and more open mindset.

Spirit doesn't always provide us with an answer to our questions and they don't always give us an answer to the question we've asked. Many times they ignore our questions and tell us what we need to know whether we like it or not. Keep this aspect of it in mind when you try to do a reading for yourself, even online, and then maybe it will help you to understand the cards better.

Spirit only tells you what you're supposed to know; they'd never share something with you if you're not supposed to know. And, there are many things we're not supposed to know, that we're supposed to figure out for ourselves so we can learn whatever we're supposed to learn from that experience. The key is to TRUST it. Always trust it.

Anyone who says you can definitively, anytime you want, get an answer from the cards or from a psychic is not telling the truth or they are ignorant to the truth. If you ask a question and you're not supposed to know the answer because knowing the answer interferes with your spiritual growth, then you're not going to be provided with that answer.

Maybe you're supposed to make this choice all by yourself by using your mind and the power of discernment you already have inside you.

I'll add:

Spirit is never wrong. The cards are NEVER wrong. ONLY the interpretation is wrong. Getting a new deck has nothing to do with being able to read the face of the cards. Certainly, some pictorial representations in certain decks speak more clearly to you than others because you connect more with them, that is understandable, but that has nothing to do with understanding the cards when you feel you've not received an answer to your question.

Again, most importantly, SPIRIT IS NEVER WRONG. The messages sent are never wrong; ONLY THE INTERPRETATION is wrong or gets skewed because of biases or because you are simply too close to the subject matter or you are unwilling to see the truth in yourself or for a ton of other different reasons.

Changing the deck in the hopes that you will understand the cards more because the reading isn't making sense to you is a classic example of Einstein's definition of insanity; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

When all of your readings don't make sense, you're the one who has a block; it's not the cards. I'm not saying you do this, this is rhetorical: Only self-deception would lead one to blame the cards and not themselves for their own issues. If all of your readings or most of them are confusing, then it is simply time to take a break and step away from them. Clear your mind, focus on life's priorities, spend time alone in nature, and basically just TAKE A BREAK. Take time to indulge in laughing and childlike play. Roll in the grass, play in the dirt, build a sandcastle. Let got of everything and relax. Take as long as you need; a week, a month, whatever you need to release whatever is blocking your ability to see and clouding your perception and interfering with your natural insightful perspective. Then later, once you've released all that emotional and/or mental blockage, come back and read the cards when you are ready. You will notice how clear things are. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and take a break. Listen to your body and give it what it needs. The same applies to your psyche.

also I may sound weird but anything can happen. You can be drained or hungry or anxious about something

I was trying my usual thing yesterday with a normal deck of playing cards trying to pull out red or black without looking. And someone entered the room and said something, so I got it all wrong then it was quiet and I got it right

It is crucial to be calm and dispassionate and to acknowledge its the universe doing it through you. I have to admit sometimes it's difficult

And yeah taking a short break is by all means beneficial too

As for the cards being just cards.... It's just when the deck doesnt wish to speak. Clean it. It helps.

To keep you're reading clear, and to absorb any negative coming in, always burn a little sage during your reading. Also, having a crystal/glass bowl with clean water and a few citrine and rose quartz in there will absorb the negative energy, especially when doing it for others.

The rose quartz and citrine combined in a glass bowl of water is very good to keep your mind clear of negative energy when you sleep so placing this at your bedside at night will help with peace of mind and good sleep. If you do this at night, be sure to clean your bowl and put fresh water in every night. Your stones have to be cleansed periodically as well. I can usually feel when they need to be cleansed. I use soap and water but a lot of spiritual people think soap is too harsh. While I'm deeply spiritual, I'm also conscious earth, so for me it is soap to get them good and clean!
