The Magician's major obstacle is "arrogance" and "self-righteousness". The ego is in total control in this state and carries on with self-destructive intention of dominating and manipulating others. Yes, very manipulative.------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. The Truth is the answer to everything. IP: Logged |

My interpretation of the Magician's obstacles is when he is in detriment, or Reversed. As an upright card simply in the "obstacle" or "challenge" spot in a reading, it could mean a ton of things. It depends on the surrounding cards.------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. The Truth is the answer to everything. IP: Logged |

Well... It depends On surrounding cards,But in general i would read it that you are standing in your own way. Upright would indicate to me that you have everything at your disposal, available to you but you fail to see it materialize it... Due to ego/pride. Being manipulative works too. You could be using your "influence" for the wrong reasons. Wrong strategy. Since the magician is a trickster at his worst, a player...It could also mean playing hard to get. IP: Logged |

ok sorry for harping on it...trust me i'm annoying myself as much as i'm annoying you guys but i'm viewing the obsticle as an external influence... not so much as characteristics of one or the other...yeah i should have mentioned that before. could it be refering to fate...like it's just not meant to be? (or would that be another card)...?? IP: Logged |

Asking questions is not harping on it. Don't worry about it. We learn by asking questions. The Magician is a great communicator but in detriment his communications are used to injure, and insult; he's pompous and self-righteous, and this could be the communication challenge you're referring to. quote: Originally posted by hmm: ok sorry for harping on it...trust me i'm annoying myself as much as i'm annoying you guys but i'm viewing the obsticle as an external influence... not so much as characteristics of one or the other...yeah i should have mentioned that before. could it be refering to fate...like it's just not meant to be? Could the magician in this case be pertinent to yourself and the way you have worded/set out something in a document? Is it to do with boundaries? IP: Logged |
