i don't get it? how does this card suggest sacrifice? did he tie him self up on purpose? why? for self benifit or otheres benifit? considering your experiences with it, would you agree?also, what else do you associate this card with other than reflection and new percpectives, and possibly sacrifices, and immobility....? how would you apply it to a position looking at outcome feeling obsticle ps. you don't have to do it for all three if you don't want IP: Logged |

I am just a beginner, but right away I would guess:+ sacrifice = letting go of some things, especially attitudes, beliefs, expectations, + changing completely your approach to the subject + the querent must do his/her own spiritual work + as Outcome = - the outcome is not exactly what / how you expect - things will be paralised for a while - ... + as obstacle = - the querent is doing everything wrong ? :-)

This card is strongly associated with Pisces, which is the sign of the martyr and the sacrificed. Very Neptunian. Some would say that this is a highly spiritual card that teaches letting go and that the hanged man is trusting and at peace. I guess it's all in your interpretation of difficult events. Some people find beauty in losses. IP: Logged |
