Hello! I am currently trying to improve myself. I want to change and start a new beginning. My fear has always held me back in life, it's something that I always had to struggle with. I have missed so many opportunities. I'm still young but I'm wondering if it there is something I can do to get rid of this shyness, is it possible for me to change? I'd like a tarot reading if possible. Putting myself out there is easier said than done :[

Hi Milly. I am so sorry you are going through this difficult time with social anxiety and general anxiety. I feel your pain. I have also suffered from different forms of anxiety in my life. Here is a tarot reading I did for you on your social/general anxiety and how to get help.

ROOTS OF YOUR ANXIETY: 3 of Cups, 3 of Swords, 8 of Swords: To me this shows that yes, socializing is a huge root of your anxiety. Possible heart break and real or perceived threats of rejection can keep you at bay from opening yourself up to others. 8 of Swords shows me that you feel mentally imprisoned with confusion and lack of logic [since swords rule Air, the mind]. This is telling me that out of fear of rejection and a lack of acceptance socializing and spending time with others, you are unable to assess yourself clearly and view your positive qualities. This holds you back greatly.

HOW YOU CAN ACHIEVE CHANGE: The Tower, 8 of swords Reversed: It's fitting that 8 of Swords Rx comes up. The reversed is not that positive but it's a start. It's showing that you need to free yourself from the bondage of negative thinking and stop feeling that others dislike you and speak or think negatively of you when they actually don't! The Tower says it's time for a wake-up call. Put yourself out there and take a chance. You've fallen into a rut, stagnation and need a shot of life to wake yourself up out of it. This might mean forcing yourself to mix and mingle at an upcoming event. It might feel devastating to you in terms of social anxiety but the Tower says that a necessary break from negative thinking MUST take place... the past foundations of your mind, feeling so negative about yourself have to fall and crumble. And trust me, you won't miss this worry and paranoia represented by the 8 of swords.

WHO CAN HELP YOU/WHAT CAN HELP: Knight of Cups [Drawn twice, so important]: I think this shows me that you could do great with gentle, artistic and compassionate people. To me, this shows a greater chance of you getting along with a group of artists and poetic people. Do you have any friends like this? If you can join a club, head for the creative direction. If you know someone who is empathetic and healing or even if you don't, they'll be of an aid to you in life soon. You will know them when you meet them. I myself am represented by the Knight of Cups when I socialize and I am the type of person who empathically knows who has troubles and how to gently draw them out of someone who needs help, or how to just be there for someone. A Knight of Cups person is entering your life soon. This is a good thing. Do not be afraid to open up to empathetic people about these problems.

IMMEDIATE FUTURE: Ace of Wands, Judgement: You will eventually understand the best path to doing away with your own anxiety, but only after doing a reality check [Judgement]. You need to find yourself a stable support system to get you through this time.

SHADOW TRUTH: 3 of Swords, Page of Wands: You really are a sensitive person who appears to have suffered some degree of heart ache from this problem. You're likely to feel guilty and quite bad about it, but eventually you will have to let go of the wounds and take a chance on the heart healing by passionately letting go of the past and setting out onto a new journey mentally or physically like the Page. Deep down inside there is a passionate person full of zest waiting to be released. Let this side of yourself shine. It's your shadow truth side.

Good luck. XOXO

Thank you so much for the detailed reading sweet-scorpion. I have been shy all my life, I'm pretty much ok with it most of the time & as I get older things get better. My shyness is a big problem when it comes to finding a job. I just don't feel confident enough to go out there. Employers want 'team players' & outgoing people, not introverted types like me. It bothers me to see other people my age who slack off, come late & do a sh*ttty job when I know that I could do a much better job than them, it's just my anxiety holding me back.

I do have a lack of air in my natal chart so I guess that's one reason why I have social anxiety.
I want to change, but I think it will take many years for this to happen. It's hard to put yourself out there with other teens, some of them are just mean.

Knight of cups..hmm well I think most of my friends are knights of cups =). They are sensitive & shy too but I don't feel like they can help me because they are so negative & they don't really want to improve themselves. But they do understand where I'm coming from & they always listen to me & they don't judge me.

When is the immediate future? Is that in a year or in a few months?

The shadow truth part is so true. Deep down inside of me, I just want to have fun & live life to the fullest. In my natal chart, I have a stellium in sagittarius, which is supposed to be outgoing but I also have saturn in the 1st house, which pretty much blocks all of that sag. energy in me. It's funny, when most people read my natal chart they describe me as outgoing & loud which is so not true haha.

Thank you sweet scorp. I do think that there is a possibility for me to change but I'm not sure if I can change 'right now'. It will take plenty of time & work. I'll just take baby steps.
