The first thing I immediately want to point out is that 4 out of 5 of these cards are major arcana. The majors show up when the situation is unbelievably crucial in our lives and overall development. These cards come out for the big decisions. What I want to say, and I'm going to guess this isn't at all what you want to hear... I don't feel or think this man is your soulmate.

The connection between you two is the Page of Pentacles reversed. Upright, this page is about dreams and putting them into practice -- thinking about our futures, our finances, and our desires for when we are old and gray. Here... he's reversed, which means these things aren't happening. They almost feel like they are being ignored in hopes of this situation turning around. The Devil suggests that while the connection is rooted deeply in sexual desire and an intense obsession or need for the other person, it is not in our best interests. Co-dependent almost. It's not a healthy sort of desire; the Devil in this context is about giving in to the desire of the flesh and sort of ignoring the need of the soul.

What you need to understand about the situation is the World reversed. This to me says you are completely limiting yourself by hanging your hat on this man, on thinking he will come back in your life and sweep you off your feet. You are worth so much more; you have a whole wonderful, beautiful world with amazing people just waiting to meet you and love you and embrace you. Right now, you've really got yourself boxed in both physically (because of your love of him -- not seeking out your true soulmate) and mentally.

The probably outcome if you keep going with him is the Star reversed. The Star says we are in touch with the deep emotions that swell in us and above us from the universe and God and our fate. It asks us to balance ourselves and place ourselves equally on land and water. To listen to what we want as well as the universe. Reversed, it's a about stagnation in this case, I feel. A general decline of the self, of how you feel about yourself, your life, your relationships... I see depression and angst. A real internalization of the rejection that isn't healthy.

So, the first thing that jumps out like a bomb is the fact that there are three pentacles. This will be through work I think. I don't mean to be rude, but are you unemployed? Or are things at work not going well, and you're thinking about quitting/worried about being fired?

Whoever this person is, they are going to be fundamentally instrumental in that transition.

Their temperament is the Queen of Cups. For me, court cards are almost always indicative of the gender and type of person that shows up. A lot of times it can be the quality to embrace/they embrace. I'm not sure here. This queen is unbelievably emotionally warm and sweet. She's the perpetual mom and caregiver; she loves everyone; everyone is the "child she should've had." Not sure if your future lover is an actual woman; I'm leaning towards it more, but I can't say for sure. The energy is extremely feminine though. It's either a man who is DEEPLY in touch with his emotions and is a bleeding heart, or it is a woman who is extremely loving, but very solid in her life. She is a queen after all. You don't get to be one by being willy-nilly or untrue to who you are.

Okay! I just pulled five cards; I couldn't figure out how to phrase it. Something sort of kept me. The five I pulled were:

1) Ace of Swords
2) Four of Swords
3) Four of Pentacles
4) Six of Swords
5) 8 of Swords

Notice a pattern? Not only do the swords increase numerically, the whole spread does, with an emphasis on the 4's. Okay -- I am just going to be bold with you... you're recently coming out of something big that sort of took a toll on you emotionally and in the self-esteem department. I think break-up or removal from a pretty big lifestyle/situation, and I think that, because these cards are devoid of the cups and wands (which are emotions and passions) and all about starting fresh and the desire for security stemming from... not instinct, but a sort of looming fear of utter ruin. Sorry to sound dramatic, but that's what popped into my head.

I will say October is going to be about getting yourself together. The Ace of Swords as the first card says you saw the light; you wanted the truth, and you wanted to be set free from whatever was ailing you. This is just now happening I think -- within the last few days? You made a karate chop sort of sever from this thing and felt good about it (or will shortly)... The Four of Swords is about taking a break mentally and physically; you are going to work on getting you back in order... I think this is directly tied to the 4 of Pentacles which is about security and our need for it. I think the three following cards from the Four of Swords are telling me why you need the break and what you broke from actually, now that I am typing this. Security, the real need for it. Almost crazily. A fear of ruin and destitution or abandonment resulting in bankruptcy of x,y,z, etc. But also, the Ace sort of flipped the switch and you realized you were clinging to the wrong life boat, which freaked you out even more... so you left. The Six of Swords. It's a sad card; you didn't want to go, but you realized (rather maturely, and i am really proud of you for it) that it was for the best. You couldn't be you if you stayed. However, now that you've moved on... you're afraid of making the same mistakes -- the 8 of Swords. You're afraid of following the same patterns, because you see it as a fundamental choice or set of choices you make again and again. I think that's another reason for the 4's. Just do me a favor and don't shut yourself off completely from the world if any of this makes sense. Keep your neck out, just actively change a little each day.

The probable outcome: it's not the forever-after story, but it will be good for awhile. I think work is going to get in the way. A lot of trying to put square pegs in round holes in the relationship. It'll be a good experience for both of you learning how to grow and become more communicative and diligent in someone else's life. Like learning how to be a real partner, or at least, the best one you've been yet. It won't be hard feelings, but it will start to fall away. You guys will feel like you're working hard and seeing few results towards the end, but it's not like that at all. It's going to be a very beautiful thing, and I think you'll stay good friends for life. I couldn't tell you why. I just really feel that way. not sure i will even leap at the opportunity if its in the future too rubbish for me to pick up, i'm afraid, i am soo much better than even starting this. just sick of men feeding off my energy, charisma and vibes, i want someone with stuff of their own for a change. i need passion, crazy sh*t, all that. if it's in the future hope the idiot gets over not making it into my bed, lol

and you shouldn't have felt obliged to say we're gonna be friends, i don't need this kinda friend, to be sure, will do without B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L-L-Y. sad boring sensitive people should not even be allowed to have friends
