I want to ultimately say yes...however the 6 of pentacles throws me off....perhaps it is unclear who holds the power in the relationship between the two of you?

Your friendship/relationship seems to be in the beginning stages and can therefore go either way, but there feels to be a good amount of potential.

For your question, I pick (from my celtic deck):
65 ailm
37 ura
and a jumping card 38 beth

You are at the begining and you are all about hopes. Both of you. But there are some ressistance, nobody wants to make the choice, to make the first move.
Happily for you, the jumping card is synomy of love declaration. So I suppose someone finally will decide to go for it. But it may takes time (really, a lot of time).
Do you know him since when ?

To be sure, and since you spoke about angel guidance, I pick my angel oracle. And the card family came. I wouldn't not say that he is the man you will began a family but more like, there is a good feeling between the two of two like a family so it is possible that it will difficult to go into a relationship with the risk of losing the new friendship you have.
Also it could mean that there is a painful family event that will need to be heal before you could be together.

Awwww thank you so much for your kind generosity (which just warms my heart). It feels right.. i feel he doesn't want to make a move and is very shy. i do feel it will take a lot of time intuitively. so that all feels right on.
