Hi All! Not sure if anyone knows anything about this or if this is the proper place for the topic. I have burned candles before. For example, white candles to clean out negativity green candles for abundance, etc. I recently moved and was looking for a new candle store and my cousin came across a candle store that sold "bring back your love" candles. This made me feel that maybe either candle burning is not as innocent as I thought. Or, is a hoax. Lol. "Bring back your love candles"??!! Come on....seriously? Lol. What are your thoughts? I believe such candles would be utilized in love spells. The candle itself is merely a tool for visualization of the intended desire. Directing energy is neither negative or positive it just is. It is our intentions which may be viewed as either negative, positive, etc. Personally I wouldn't deem burning white candles to clear energy as spellwork, but others may disagree. While in essence clearing negative energy with a white candle is utilizing intent, I feel spellwork is a little more involved in terms of visualizing the desired outcome. IP: Logged |

So well put. I suppose I dont want to accidentally and knowingly open a door to something unknown. Or, bring upon myself something that was not my intent. Lol. It sounds like the candles, used by themselves, can do neither. IP: Logged |

I have actually done this ONCE only, & I believe it was more about the energy I put in. I just burnt a pink candle, visualized love coming to me & viola, in two weeks I was head over heels in love, although after my break up with my ex 3yrs ago I thought i will never feel the same way again, but it did happen & it did not last, but it gave me my ability to love back. i was on adrenaline. so i guess there is definitely something to burning candles, but there also is your intention & the energy you put in. When you burn bring back your love candles, you are actually focused on brining them back. candles won't bring them back, your intention will. thats just my experience------------------

Makes sense. I am torn. There is a part of me that says, "let me get this candle!!!" Lol. And another that says, "I will wait for any love (past or new) to come into my life on its own." I find this all very interesting. I have found a site that discusses what it means when certain candles burn different ways. All very interesting. IP: Logged |

It is worth a try, burning a candle imaging positive love energies. It is not manipulation, as you wouldn't be burning it with intention of luring a specific person. You could also burn a candle with love, as in helping to bring yourself to be more open to love, by clearing blocks within yourself in this area. My view of this is that it is similar to putting on make up or a new outfiy, simply amping up what is already within you =) IP: Logged | |
