I am an avid astrology student - been studying seriously for about 8 years. I occasionally give intuitive readings for people. I have tons to still learn, but do know quite a bit at this point.

However, I have analyzed and analyzed our synastry charts. And here's why...1. because it helps me learn but 2. also because our synastry doesn't (in my mind at least) fit into what I would say typically makes for a happy marriage astrologically.

We have no aspects from Sun to Moon, barely any conjunctions, and quite a few stressful aspects. (I do know what brought us together in our charts. ;-) ) But what keeps us happy when we don't seem to have classic aspects?? Still trying to get that figured out...
And happy we are! It's intense, passionate, loving, playful, creative, respectful, close. We work well together, cook together, work out problems together. We have each other's backs. We are an interracial couple as well. And we have a 2 year little girl who is one of our great joys. And yes, we have problems, but they don't ruin us! Still as inlove as ever . We have been together since 2005 and married since 2008.
Now, the composite is quite lovely I think. So I am sure this softens the harder synastry aspects.
So here we go! What do you see that brought us together and what do you think keeps us together happily??

I have to tell you that it's actually the reverse in our relationship for the Mars Square Saturn. I am the Mars person and he is Saturn. I'm impulsive, passionate and he puts on the breaks all the time. Like I want sex all the time and cuddling and he is much more controled them me. I'm expressive and vulnerable and he is not at all. And quite honestly it is the biggest issue in our marriage. So these descriptions are not at all completely accurate for us. ;-)

This report also doesn't account for his Mars opposed to my Pluto at 7 degree orb, which I feel is also the other major issue we confront. He wants to keep everything private and I'm the one digging deeper and wanting constant depth and intimacy with him. ;-)

Also, it does give me quick refernce to all the descriptions of other aspects in the synastry, but mostly I just do it to look at the double whammy, since it majorly describes the theme of a relationship.

Thank you! I'm somewhat new to the site as of Aug. so I haven't quite gotten down everyone yet here. So sounds like you have had lots of posts on this subject. I'll have to revisit some of your posts.

So I see where our attraction is big time in both. And in the composite I for sure see it. But I have come up to this point in my studying on focusing most of my attention on Synastry between two people. And not the composite as much. I also haven't quite decided what approach I prefer. But it makes sense that the composite is strong for us. I just don't see the common things that I guess I "think" keep people together aside from Saturn. Still have a ways to go in learning.

What is it about the Venus Pluto do you feel makes it one of the strongest aspects?

I have to also say I do remember seeing a post recently where you said you weren't such a fan of female Virgos. But even though you said this, from this female Virgo to you, you have an incredible way of explaining astrological concepts and I really enjoyed reading your comments in the posts I just saw.
