Topic: reading request please: am I headed the right way? will it improve?

I've had a lot of issues the past weeks surrounding what I have done so far with my life and I really feel like a loser. My birthday is coming up in 2 months and the realization of time passing by, me getting older and yet getting nowhere is making things a hundred times worse in my head.
I feel old. Things aren't as I had thought them to be 5 years earlier. And this sense of personal failure and being way behind makes me want to hide away from other people.
That's why I'd like to have a reading of whether things are ever going to get better, not ten years from now, but at least a year from now; or if I'm going to have to deal with those feelings for quite some time still.
I don't intend to change "my path" either way. I just would like to know whether I should adjust my expectations regarding life improvement for the coming year.I apologize beforehand for not being able to offer anything in exchange  Thank you in advance to anyone who would do this. IP: Logged |

don't doubt yourself!!!
doubt and acceptance of failure are the only things that can hold you back.
if you want to get better and believe that you can, then things will work themselves out!!!i pulled out some cards with no particular positions in mind.
i got
6 of swords: moving away from difficult times
page of swords: new begining, maybe discovery of new hobbies (intellcutal hobbies possibly)
7 of pentacles: you're going to need to put in the work, and be prepared for some bumps along the way
8 of wands reversed: guard against inaction, or maybe it could be saying slow down and don't rush into anything you're not too sure off. sorrry, kinda opposite i know. i pulled one last card as outcome (the above i guess you could say is the process) and i got queen of pentacels: which to me, means success. i hope you don't give up and find your way back on to your chosen path.

fight those negative thoughts away and keep them from reinforcing a negative self image of yourself. I know you're better than that!!! getting into a positive frame of mind might be hard, or seem superfical, but if you're able to slowly build up on it, increase it, and strenghten it, you'll feel empowered and gather enough strenght to continue and even dig yourself out of this 'oppressive' place you seem to be in right now. like i said, i really hope things work. you're better than this and i know you'll figure something out!!!! take care!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. And you have no idea how much I appreciate you not only doing this for me but also your words of encouragement and support. I wasn't expecting this and I truly felt good after reading you, so thank you a lot for this  I can identify with the cards you pulled and your reading of them, especially the first ones.
I did moved away from "difficult times" last year. I was in a situation that had turned out to be unbearable for me. So I quit and started over (changed my study field so there was indeed a new beginning with new intellectual hobbies). The decision was easy to make but it was harder to deal with the consequences later on (especially, it is rather disturbing to see people my age graduating , starting work and settling down in their life, knowing you had the opportunity to be where they're at, and yet instead starting over from scratch). Also I do expect many bumps in the road because I am not assured to make it through . There again the 8 of wands a "guard against inaction" is very fitting since if I want things to turn out alright, I have to work hard and not waste any time. And you're right, I really do have to control and stop the negative thinking because it doesn't do me any good. It's harder than I want it to be though, probably because the loneliness, isolation and lack of personal relationship also affects me, and more than I'd like to admit. Again, thank you a lot for the positive words and attention. I'm going to keep going and try to avoid the negative thoughts pattern that is only bringing me down and sort of makes me self sabotage. ueharaa, when I read your post I felt like I had written it myself. I've been going through what you described for a number of years and what I've noticed is that I'm evolving to different heights but it's just not perceptible at each increment or stage of my life. I don't see all the leaps and bounds I've made until years into the future when i can look back at everything I've accomplished. Perhaps the same is true for you. One thing I suggest is to find a good spiritual healer who can regularly remove some of the psychic debris in your energy field. Once at a VERY low point, I got a Theta Healing session and something was removed from my energy field. My life COMPLETELY changed after that experience. The whole world looked brighter and I was more at peace. I have to get this done every couple of years (probably need it more frequently) when I find the negativity and feelings of isolation becoming overwhelming. My insight (for what it's worth) is that you're on a spiritual quest (as we all are) and your mind is working faster than your quest can evolve so it may seem like it's taking a long time for things to manifest. Remember that everything is working in exactly the right timing for you and your purpose and destiny. I pulled some cards from my Fortune Teller's Journal. These interpretations are all action based and advice oriented. They are meant to be things to ponder and journal about. The first 3 cards relate to what you've already accomplished. These should be seen in the most positive light and how they reflect your contribution to the world. Read the statement aloud with the card meaning. I have successfully achieved....
