Dear All:first of all, I'd like to say that I am no native speaker (grew up and live in Germany)so I apology in advance for any grammar mistakes. I have been an avid reader of this forum for a couple of months (acclamation to all of you! )) but never thought to enroll myself since I never had a question. Would you please be so kind and have a look at my birth chart and let me know your thoughts of my chances to become a published writer? I am no professinal astrologer but astrology is my hobby and already consulted several astrologers. One said that I would be a great business woman but the other said that would be her last advice for me. Whatever, I have an "office job" at the moment which I am giving up end of the year to pursue a writing career. I think my good mercury and neptune aspects and my mars in gemini prove enough BUT do I have a chance to get published? My sun and my saturn in the 2nd house indicate that I face trouble to find "my way" but I have such good aspects to midheaven like Jupiter and Neptune trine MC. What do you think? http://photouploads.com/images/astro.gif Thanks in advance! Enneline IP: Logged |

Thank you! I even could not find a comparable board in Germany. And I am glad to "meet" people who are interested in astrology like I do. My friends think its boring... IP: Logged |

You need planets in 9th house to have your book published. Natal or transits.IP: Logged |

Thank you Since I have no planets in the 9th house I guess I would have to look at the ruler of the 9th house? I am too much of a beginner to be in touch with transits...IP: Logged |

No darling. 9th house isnt only for abroad affairs. Its also the house of publishing. Thats why MC does rule the career but it needs to have proper indicators to show a certain career. Your MC is at 29 degrees in Aries. The ruler goes in 11th house. 11th house is the house of friends, groups. This indicates a PUBLIC RELATIONS career not a writing career. IP: Logged |

Yes, but Ian has a stellium in Gemini with the ruler in the same house, MC in Sagittarius with ruler in 6th house, Moon in 3rd house with ruler in 5th house. His 9th house ruler is well aspected. Yours isnt. Is bad aspected by Saturn.I thought I told you to check also the transits. IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter in my 9th (retrograde though... so I suffer from indecisiveness like whoa) but I am in my final year of a Creative Writing MFA at a pretty great school in California. I'm about to start the final touches on my poetry thesis, and I've started writing (emphasis on "started" since I'm such a n00b) a story that, who knows, maybe will turn into something more. I say try your hand at writing. It's a great way to reconnect with what is important to you. READ CONSTANTLY. I strive hard to read a new novel a week; the best writers are the best readers, and also, I highly recommend reading about and learning the Rhetoric Triangle (or Rhetorical Analysis.) This makes you a better critic of your own work. Also, the best advice I was ever given was writers only write about three things. No matter what. So... figure out what your three things are, and go to town! Have fun. That's what it is about. Writing is great, but as a career, it isn't really feasible unless you are JK Rowling or whatnot. It's a wonderful hobby. Lots of writers are teachers or public servants. Just keep that in mind. IP: Logged |
