Hi, I am not the best at reading horary charts for myself and am stumped on this chart's meaning. I think it may be a negative answer, but am not completely sure. To give some background on the situation: I am studying at a university in a city I moved to earlier this year (moved here primarily for school), and have had some issues finding employment that will give me enough money to have some disposable income/savings. My time is mainly consumed by my studies, so even though I have been offered more hours at my current job, I haven't been able to take them because it conflicts with my school schedule. School is also an issue for me because at this point in time I don't feel that the amount of money that I'm paying to get my master's will be worth repaying, and because it is hindering my ability to get a steadier job with better hours. I'm basically feeling overwhelmed at the moment, and pretty stressed out as a result.. it literally feels like I'm stuck, or like I'm doing the right things, but getting no real results. I do have the option to pack up and move back to my home city, and just focus on getting a good job someplace while I regroup and figure out what to do next. If I stay here, I am afraid that this cycle won't change, and with work slowing down at my job during the winter season, I have no idea of where I am even going to get the money I need to pay my rent when that happens. This is what has led me to asking whether or not I should move back home.. I believe that I'm represented by mercury rx, combust in the 3rd, and not in a great condition.. and see that ruler of both the 4th and 7th house is jupiter rx in the 9th. I read online that 4th house represents current home, and 7th new home.. would this be the right way of looking at it in my case? If so, what does it mean if both houses are ruled by the same significator? It doesn't aspect me, and the moon is in a late degree.. so that's why I was thinking the answer is "no". Sorry for the long post, but can anyone help me figure this out? IP: Logged |

I originally asked you what the actual question was, then I realized it was the title of this thread, there by making me feel really stupid. LOOOL!! So there you have it, not to keep you in that kind of suspense.Although I'm very sleepy, what I did notice is that your question was about moving back or "re" turning home. Mercury, representing you, is retrograde in the 3rd house of short trips. Jupiter rules the 4th house of "home". It is also retrograde in the 9th House of Higher Education. Jupiter is also the planet that rules Higher Education. Some sleepy intuition is trying to creep into this interpretation by saying that all of this cerebral energy with retrogradation is adding incredible aggitated intensity. Mercury and Jupiter are not making connections to each other in this chart so I don't think that you and home will meet. I'm thinking you might get a little relief when Mercury goes direct and moves into Sagittarius, the natural sign of Higher Education. And then Jupiter should go direct shortly after the Sun trines it from Aquarius, should be late January or early February. My suggestion is to do your absolute best to hang on to the school stuff, even if it's by your fingernails. This 3 month period of time might feel like forever now, but when you look back 5 years from now, you'll realize it was just a tiny pocket of time and you may seriously regret that you threw it all away because things got tense. Do your best to avail yourself of any kind of additional help you can get from parents or programs, etc. Be as resourceful as possible and you can ride this wave through. I wish you the very best of luck and stamina. ------------------ Geocosmic Valentine Professional Astrologer IP: Logged |

Oh, that's okay Geocosmic! I can understand doing that.. especially when tired late at night. The important thing is that you were nice enough to take the time to read this chart, so thank you for that. I find it funny that I'm in the 3rd house of short travel, because I ended up buying a plane ticket home yesterday to visit for the month of December. I think the month away from Chicago will give me some time to clear my head and re-prioritize things. If I can at least make it through one more semester of my program, I will have a better idea of what to do next. I still have a year and a half left, so the idea of this trend continuing for that much longer was another reason I was wanting to stop (which is odd because I am one of the most optimistic people I know.. I've just been feeling very off this month). I had someone look at my natal chart/transits a while back and they said that I have a lot of Pluto transits going on right now, in addition to this being the beginning of my first Saturn return, so that is probably playing a part too. Speaking of which, do you know of any good reading to find more info about first Saturn returns? I have found a few things online, but a lot of it is a little vague. Anyway, thanks again for reading this for me. I can update here if you'd like me to around Jan or Feb to let you know how things have gone with me. IP: Logged |

I agree with Geo, but I haven't had the chance to look at your chart yet. I will soon to see if we agree (me and Geo) IP: Logged |
