I have one or two synastry reports from websites and they are confusing in that they suggest contradictory qualities. This is of course by interpreting the aspects exclusively, without taking the whole picture into account - natal aspects, houses, planets etc. So, I am not sure whether I understand why my BF would behave as he does. This appears to be an unequal relationship - he seems less committed, more distant, enigmatic. It results in me waiting to be contacted, am always available and at the mercy of his moods or work commitments. I tend to give him every benefit of the doubt and adapt as much as I can. Perhaps that's more typically a female thing! He does acknowledge that what we have is very rare and he is surprised by the ease and sense of destiny our relationship has.

Forget about the 8th House. All of the houses, signs and planets are important in relationships.

I can see from your chart that you are both in your 50's and you are slightly older than him. At this point I hope you know that no matter how wonderful a synastry chart is, it's not going to magically pull the two of you together. Even with the greatest synastry in the world, in order to make a relationship work you need PROXIMITY!!

Both of you have Moon in Aquarius which suggests a need for social significance and uniqueness. Also, you both require a certain amount of freedom which is OK. However, his chart shows a very strong sexual nature and no matter how special you are together (and the chart does show spiritual bonds) he may not be able to wait very much longer.

There's another measurement that suggests he might be keeping you a secret somehow. Your Venus is in his 12th House of things that are hidden. Are you %100 percent sure that he doesn't have someone else in his life, a wife or another significant other? Also, if he does, does that really matter to you? You don't have to answer these here, just think about them.

Also, are you about to move? The chart suggests that you may have just gone through some difficult time, both of you, in terms of fear, possible deception, loss of some kind? The chart suggests a very possible geographic relocation for you. I don't know if that's to a place across town or across and ocean. Only you know for sure.

Needless to say, life is short and this does look like a loving synastry with loving bonds between BOTH of you, sexual chemistry, mental -cerebral compatibility. It looks like a risk needs to be taken to make this happen fully.

I am amazed you could tell our ages from our charts. Yes, he hasn't told any one about me, perhaps as he tends to be very discreet about his personal life. I am pretty certain though that he doesn't have another relationship. We often converse till late on webcam. And we've met twice in the past year, stayed together and had a great time. It is he who has a very busy and important job and doesn't seem to find time to visit; nor does he take up the offer for me to visit him!!!

I moved house a few months ago. Would that fit? In terms of past history, I had an abusive childhood and was abused by my ex husband but that was 15 years ago. And he is also divorced. I am very interested to hear that he may have experienced loss and fear. Would the loss of a parent when young account for that?

Glad I could be of some help. Yes, your having moved a few months ago definitely counts toward the geographic relocation. About knowing your ages, there's no magical trick to it. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move extremely slowly and Pluto was in late Leo and early Virgo back in the late 50's & 60's. These are generational planets and something that you latch onto when you do astrology on a regular basis.

As for the recent fear or loss, it may have been financial for him, but no way to know unless he confirms it. For you it may have been connected to your move or your home or something of that nature, but it's over now.

The most important thing you need to know is that in order to make this work, you need to be near each other unless you're both satisfied with the way things are. I really hope it works out for you both.
