We have been together for 2 years. Was quite challenging within the first year since my Cap never liked to open up. He's very open now, says that he loves me but I still feel like he needs to work on his communication skills.

We have been through challenges over the 2 years we've been together. We lost 2 pregnancies and he's been trying to be closer than he ever was. He travels a lot for business and we live 2 hours away. He has older kids and i have grade school kids. He's been married before and i have never been married. We see each other quite often since his office is closer to where i live and i often join him on his business trips. However, we don't spend every weekend together since that's the time each one of us dedicate to spend with the kids.

I do love him and he expresses the same. He's very affectionate when we're together, always asking if there's anything he can help with and tries to provide it when i need something....

I got very upset recently over him not responding to my email soon enough and sent him an email that "I didn't think he cared since he promised to improve his communication skills". He responded saying that "I got your email and i need to absorb it before I can respond. But you should know that i care for you and love you"

Am I expecting too much from my Cap? Is this relationship worth fighting for?
