First off my condolences: it is really a hard thing to deal with when somebody takes their life; especially when there were no warning signs. For suicide, the obvious places are Pisces/Neptune/12th house related aspects.
Pisces/12th house/Neptune often indicates the area of our undoing.
First off, he had Gemini Ascending; making his chart ruler Mercury.
Mercury in Pisces, at its worst, can be muddled and unclear. Reasoning and logic are fogged and as a result the negative predominance of Neptune and Jupiter (co-ruler of Pisces) exaggeration manifests; making problems that much BIGGER and more OVERWHELMING than they are. But that is the only perception the Mercury individual may have.
Add to that, the double whammy with Neptune in Sag squaring it: At worst this exaggerates the problems that Mercury perceives that much more and creates someone who seems gregarious and optimistic(Sag) whilst wrestling all sorts of secret fears(Pisces).
I doubt the Gemini in Saturn added fuel to the flame, if anything, it may have helped him keep it all together for this long; never letting anyone see him sweat(hence the charming personality).
His twelfth house sign is Taurus (deeply introverted and not likely to open up about inner turmoil but rather preferring to keep things within).
The ruler of the 12th house is Venus and it opposes Pluto (Yikes) and forms a trine with Neptune. This much action on the ruler of the unconscious house cannot bring things to a head (unless on a transit).
As this is a natal aspect, it is likely that this aspect may have been something that he learned to integrate into his personality.
What’s interesting is that transiting Pluto (in Capricorn) squared his already sensitive Venus (12th house) lately; bringing the 12th house themes to life (especially the opposition with natal Venus and Pluto).
Also, transiting Uranus formed a conjunct with natal Venus; adding to the tension of the 12th house ruler and Pluto /Venus action.
To top off the 12th house theme, transiting Neptune sits right on top of his natal Moon; bringing less clarity to intimate relationships, domestic scenes and everyday life.
And the retrograde Jupiter in Gemini probably squared his natal Neptune and Mercury in Pisces (Ascendant ruler) lately; bringing less clarity and more feelings that were hard to explain let alone comprehend.
Nataly, it looked like a tough period round about now.
Again, my condolences.....
