Hi! :-) just wondering if anyone can help me in seeing if anything in my chart shows I can excel in a career in medicine or another career? I really would wish to study it in the coming 2014 entry so I would be applying around September/ October next year... I think the biggest thing for me is the doubt of actually getting in to medical school even though I do meet the requirements so far for entry. Would really appreciate your answers. Thanks!

I think you are making a very good choice.

With your Asc in Scorpio, it is likely that you already have themes of mortaliy/death/ rebirth and the deeper meaning of existence in your life. This is the area of focus within this lifetime; either as healer/transformer

Scorpio is the detective, spy, investigator, destructor, transformer, changer and "one who brings the hidden into light".

You have Sun, Mercury,Venus, Pluto and Asc in Scorpio.

Very little goes beyond your detection as you have a creative force or energy that is geared towards doing away with redundancy and bringing about more meaning in your life and in the life of others.

Taurus is the simplistic builder, planner, constructor, durability assessor, creator, beautifier and harmonizer.

The Moon in Taurus is fixed and determined and so, when it sits in the 6th house, its attitude towards work is that of consistency , simplicity and continuance.

You will be committed to your work and your work will be very much a part of your life. You may even be married to your work.

Gemini is the curious child, playful, adolescent, versaitile, inquisitive, bright and alert, good with words and numbers, many ideas and restless.

Mars in Gemini is energized towards strongly intellectual pursuits. I suggest specilization in the field of study as Gemini is a restless mind that is geared towards continuous discoveries.

Mars in 8th gears you towards areas of death, burial, religious meanings and authentic living. Perhaps could be drawn to the area of Surgery or Pathology unit(where you come in contact with a lot of blood).

Leo is the specialist, the teacher, the professor, the authority figure, the mentour and gregarious manager.

When Jupiter is in Leo it encourages study, travel and other 9th house related themes that are long and accolades driven.

Jupiter in 9th makes you a teacher and enthusisiatic imparter of knowledge. But you are more drawn to accolades and titles i.e "The honorable Dr So and So" then money itself.

It may be more important for you to help others reach their height and full potential and for you to be given public praise and recognition in that regard than advancing only yourself monetarily.

You have a magnanimous ethical approach to imparting knowledge and are open to teaching what you know.

Capricorn is the restrictor, challenges and obstacles, the budgetor, the thrifty accountant, the "nuts and bolts", the critique/editor and the demanding, but very important, task.

Saturn in Capricorn suggests serious impositions and obstacles that have to be overcome through a concerntrated effort and a conservation of energy that'll only be released when one grows older and wiser on how to use them productively.

Saturn in 3rd suggests problems with 3rd house themes like siblings, neighbours, close relatives, hands, being punctual and keeping a schedule, nervous system, eyes, mental abilities, short travels, reading and comprehension.

It can also suggest great responsibility being imposed upon you with regards to this area; perhaps you are the elder of your siblings? Perhaps you have no siblings and all your parent's hopes and dreams rest on you? Perhaps your siblings look up to you or you are their caretaker etc. This is just exmaples btw and the list is not exhaustive.

But as Capricorn suggests, a clear concentrated effort must be imparted before
such issues, presented by Saturn, are overcome successfully.

Hi AscTaurus thank you for your reply... I do love surgery and work in the operating department alot.. It's do fascinating! I guess I do kind of want to be recognised in my profession, my patients and colleagues tell me all the time I should be a doc :-) but honestly I am sort of doubtful of my abilities sometimes.. But I really want it! I am the eldest in my family and my family do always say all the time that I'm the only one who can be successful and give the family some pride- no pressure! I guess it's just that when it comes to work I am very ambitious compared to my siblings who aren't really fussed but whatever they lack it all comes back to me to sort their situations out.. What you said really does ring true! For me succeeding in my career along with helping others whether in medicine or not I feel are and have always been my priorities :-)
