Funny i cut my deck and looked at the bottom card before shuffling again and it was the page of pentacles reversed.

I shuffled, cut spread and picked one card.

10 of swords.

I dont think that raise will kick in as soon as you would like. Also, astrologically i was looking at forecasts and mercury is due to go retrograde in a little bit...

This is a very plifting card. A happy card of news close to your heart. Things will get better job wise for you. A new job could be the possibility of something great. Looks like you need to take your career and your skills very seriously and focus on gaining connections.

Looks like major adjustments will need to be made. Flexibility is not easy. People like their routine and personal space. The king of swords is not a bad card. He is asking you to think of a time frame and take your emotional ties to your mother vs the needs of your partner and family. Your partner will ask you how long? And for how much longer? if you dont give him the details of the circumstances properly. Give him a voice and allow him to lead this decision.
