Hmmmmmm

tough one

I'd say he feels a certain tenderness, an uncontaminated affection, BUT might have certain barriers against your type/women in general. This might make him act selfishly, seek all the pleasure for himself and potentially not consider you as a person who happens to have emotions. Whichever prevails, the tenderness or the wish to shut his feelings up and use you.

Just my opinion

Thank you, andstuff!
Yes, it is a confusing situation with this guy... When I first met him (2 1/2 years ago), when he realised that he was falling for me he then switched to being cold and shut his feelings. He kept coming back many times and now we are sort of flirting again - even though I don't feel the way I used to for him. AND he knows that! I was curious to see what is going on with his feelings currently. I am not investing into this anyway, which is good!

Thanks again

Hi Venia,
To me, the six of cups with the nine of wands would indicate a karmic/soul relationship...there is something to be learned here from each other, but with the 5 of swords, it is not all roses & rainbows, know what I mean? This relationship will keep resurfacing until the lesson is grasped. That's how I take it...So yes, he has feelings, but I don't think he knows how to process them. Like he feels drawn to you, but he's not sure why...think push/pull. (Karmic)

Hi Enlightened

Yes, exactly how you described it! It is a push/pull situation, karmic and I know I have to deal with it till the 'lesson' is learned. I just can't imagine what that is... Whenever he comes and start something, he frustrates me and I leave! I have to stick around this time for my own good! lol

Thank you!

Yes, that's what I picked up from 6 of cups and 9 of wands. They are both ill-dignified together so they block each other in my 'book'. It's like, you both miss the past/each other, so you attempt to come back in hopes of finding what you once had in the past (good times), but once you do come back reality starts setting in. You then realize it's not really like it once was and get discouraged - could also represent impulsive actions and walls being put up. 9 of Wands and 5 of Swords..looks defensive. Defensive words/thoughts (5 of Swords) in order to not get hurt (9 of Wands)

Did you hurt him in the past? Did someone else hurt him in the past?

Thanks for your insight, Empress!
Well, defensiveness is the key word indeed.
Actually, HE hurt me in the past... But after a discussion we had a month ago - I figured out why he had done it. To protect himself cause he was afraid that the same thing would probably happen to him again... It's complicated cause a third person was involved, and I believe still is even though he claims the opposite. Long and confusing story. I wish I could share more...

Yes, makes sense. He also hurt himself by hurting you (happened to me, too). That's what it is, he does have feelings for you, but he also feels he should protect himself (9 of Wands and 5 of Swords) - he fears that familiar feeling (6 of Cups).

It's okay if you can't share more ((hugs)) but if you ever need to I can e-mail you.
