Your solar return is definitely amazing with the trines and the close conjunctions to the angles.

With SR ASC in Cancer with Moon conjunct from the 12th and Jupiter in 1st house: Do you think you might work in a takeaway or a cafe - and would this be new for you. Or is it some other kind of service, maybe even an election supporters group.

The opposition to Pluto applying to the DSC: the above could require considerable financial outlay or time and personal reputation on the line, stretching and really going to the nth degree in terms of gaining help and networking support from others, to establish this new enterprise of yours.

With the trine of this ASC stuff to Chiron on the Pisces MC: You really have some good sense and you have almost like a gift going on with visualisation and kind of projecting or use of mind to build your dreams. Its like your mind is before you working out the future and then somehow your body and the world catches up and things seem to fall into place pretty much along the lines of your dreams and visions.

Moon, ASC, Chiron and Pluto on similar degree to Uranus at top of chart conjunct the 11th house: You could come into some difficulties but you will be able to plead and cajole your way around them so that you will get away with things that others may not have, due to giving out the impression that you are harmless, good natured and a little scatty but trying hard. Possible illegal/deceptive manoeuvres to succeed, great strength due to being female or using the plight/demeanour of female disposition, realization of long held yearnings and likely fruition.

The significant grand trines are involving the Moon/ASC to Chiron/Neptune/MC to Node/Saturn. You can be assauged by a good flow of such feelings akin to depression or disappointment, or a rollercoaster when slightest thing out of kilter with your plans such as when you don't have things how you would like them. There is a dynamic of positivity inherent though that sees you rolling on to seek alternative solutions, refigure your dreams through deep soul introspection etc, or maybe not change your ambitions but evolve so that the constantly changing you can work a magic from a formerly unforeseen angle. 2nd house with cancer cusp, ruled by moon in cancer conj ASC from the 12th: Reaching into bonds/securities/savings, pinning hopes on dreams, but wanting something so much that you call everything possible to you to assist the fruition/and attempt to bring some earthy manifestation to your gut instincts and emotive propelling. You don't want to lose financially this year but you are prepared to put up some funds, and a great deal of emotional funds, to bring about something that has a real base but has the potential to give great emotional-heart rewards.

Leo on the 3rd cusp, ruled by Sun in Scorpio in the 5th trining Neptune in Pisces applying to the MC, and Mars in house 3 applying to IC etc: This has got a man involvement here - a communication with a man, some frustrations going on, some shows of power, threat of 'abortion'/aborting, dominance, and maybe a mix of resentment and disgust thrown in at times - however, the relationship/relationships (as there may be even more that one male impacting here), yes, the relationship will roll along, there is co-benefit evident here.

Virgo on 4th cusp, ruled by Mercury retrograde in Scorpio in 5th, Mars applying to IC/4th: Health concerns, nothing too major, could be related to a varicose situation, maybe internally, gives a possible burning sensation. Other manifestations, be careful of hot things around the home, around you, not major, examples would include touching a hot pan, extreme heat on skin of like a car if it was really hot on the trims and duco, maybe things like hair styling equipment etc - not likely to be permanent but more of a superficial 'ouch, wow that's really hot'. Possibility of getting some kind of medical intervention such as cauterising/burning something off done.

Libra on the 5th house, ruled by Venus in Sag in 6th, and with Sun, Node, Saturn and Mercury in 5th, and aspects to other planets around the chart and particularly to Uranus/Neptune/Pluto: A sensation of small children, could be grandchildren or someone else's grandchildren/children. They generally are a good addition to the year but also kind of irritate you. Like once you get the necessary reestablishment with them over, such as initial greeting, they need to be in sight - barely, and basically almost out of mind, and certainly not taxing anyone's resources in terms of energy - and certainly not complicating or throwing a spanner in the works to what you have planned or how you would like to proceed. This feeling can extend to include other things with a similar feeling to children such as, hmm, not sure, maybe documents that you don't want to be tripped up on in terms of what others might read into them etc. Also, there are many other impressions flying at me for this house and some of the other houses but I can't be clear about their meanings. I think some of the other impressions with this house are things like what you wear, getting advice from younger people/others on what suits you, trying to modify your comfort zone so that you don't feel too old fashioned - but at the same time not wanting to wear anything that isn't you. Other things about this house - yes generally you are attempting to reinvent yourself a bit and are getting ideas off catalogues etc. You are looking at hairstyles, colours and want to really bring out your vibrancy, however with the strength of moon in cancer on the ASC engineering the whole SR chart, you battle with feelings of depression, discouragement etc. You are good at rallying yourself like one's old gym teacher might and you really get behind yourself and say to yourself something to the effect of 'come on girl, keep your chin up, could be worse,you're not going to get anywhere getting all down on yourself and miserable, come on make the best of yourself, shape up as best you can, get moving...'

Scorpio, end degree, on 6th house cusp, ruled by Pluto in Capricorn/Mars in Virgo (both aspecting and on angles), and with Venus and Pluto in 6th, also Sag intercepted, ruled by Jupiter in 1st in Cancer and trining Venus: Interesting this, not really sure how to explain it, or whether I should explain it - might leave it as far a impression relaying. Conventionally, this would be synthesised as intense approach to work and daily affairs, something akin to a health camp or dedication to a personal health regime. Perhaps trying to become like your significant other or mirror a desired partner, perhaps trying to dress like them, adopt their likes and dislikes, trying to get inside someone else's skin. Breaking ethical boundaries to some extent, possible stalking to really get the sensation of being inside another, knowing them, looking out as best you can from inside them.

Capricorn on 7th, ruled by Saturn in Scorpio in 5th,and all the aspects of Saturn, particularly conjunction to mercury, sextile to Pluto, quincunx to Uranus, and with Pluto closely applying to SR DSC: Definitely there is close partner involvement this year, maybe even a few partner potentials. I don't know why but there is a horse somehow in this mix - looks like a pinto horse, but could even be a fake/toy horse that you almost talk to or do talk to. You could get into line dancing or develop a country/cow girl aspect to yourself. I can see you painting/renovating/fixing up something that has a display element to it.

Capricorn on 8th, ruled by Saturn in 5th with aspects etc: Not likely to have a lot of skin on skin, could try to formalise and get intimacy on track but somehow this approach is not akin to the nature of intimacy. Something else, maybe using national tax/policy and trying to work it to your best advantage - but not much financial gains on that swing of things for you. Could be setting yourself for more assurety in retirement however, though the benefits are long term/delayed/kind of like compound interest. You could also breakthrough a long term misconception of yourself. The realistic view is quite confronting, has the potential to bring great emotional rewards but can you accept it or will you push yourself into denial. You could find that if you accept the reality, then your intimacy has greater potential in future encounters. If you remain afronted, strict and outlawing of this view, like a disapproving parent you may keep intimacy and deeper relating to a formalised bond rather than a true sharing of sentiment and emotion. I'm not sure what is the right answer or what is right for you. 9th house with Aquarius on cusp, ruled by Uranus in 10th closely conjunct 11th cusp, and traditional ruler Saturn in 5th with all aspects accordingly, also Neptune in 9th applying to MC: A humanitarian/utilitarian/alternative/non-judgemental focus in a tertiary pursuit that could have some kind of grave standing in terms of honour. I think I saw you mentioned somewhere that you were thinking of doing a Master's Degree on one of the reading threads. I think there is likelihood of setting in motion this orientation to study, and that you have it within you to be successful, and for it to plump out your life in terms of ensuing awe, brevity etc. There could be a teaching/authority/honourable/judge type of connotation that would be attributed to your reputation/identity/account of your life. You will probably have a strong technology focus or support in place with it. You could get discouraged in the beginning, baulk at it, and delay. You could feel stupid and like you are too mediocre. You could rethink your strategies, and take an alternative option with both hands that will prove successful. I think also you could be deepening your relationship with astrology over this solar return, and your convictions will take surprising twists and turns as your insights and mind is blown by the possibilities of astrology or some kind of modern system of belief. Again, possible pursuit of a very high qualification, and very possible success eventually after wheels are set in motion.

MC/10th has Pisces, ruled by Neptune closely applying and is conjunct Chiron, all previously mentioned associated aspects, traditional ruler Jupiter in 1st aspecting Venus in 6th in Sag, and Uranus at end of 10th: So many possibilities, kind of like the seven of cups in the tarot. This year will see you working through your dreams and aspirations and determining what you think is real and not, also working through your morals, ethics, values and kind of spring cleaning the lot. 11th house with Aries cusp,ruled by Mars in Virgo conjunct IC, and all associated aspects: Straight away I am seeing stuff related to hair - hair style, hair colour, kind of like getting hair sorted out so that it is like your chariot - a way forward for you. I think also you will be using face masks, getting your teeth as best as can be, getting nails done. Getting the whole integumentary system sorted, like a shiny shellac exoskeleton to take you into your future like the employment of a robot would associate you with a reinvented self, on the otherside of a conveyer belt - not to say you are a robot, or fake, but the exoskeleton will get streamlined, polished and consist of some new materials to take you into a new age or keep you in step with a shining individuality that is irrespective of age. Kind of like sandblasting metal back to some high degree of sheen and healthy metal surface. It reminds me of a high carbon steel bolt and the solid matt lustre of the metal - signifying quality, attractiveness, utility, worth, and craftsmanship. Again, though potential for hiccups, discouragement, 1 step forward/2 back, in this process.

Taurus on the 12th cusp, ruled by Venus in Sag in 6th, quincunx Jupiter in 1st, Venus semisextile Mercury retrograde in 5th, with Gemini intercepted in 12th, and Moon at end of house applying to ASC: Can't really get this, could be that paint element coming back in, so an artistic expression, not fully confident with it, but a growing satisfaction enough to make it an ongoing hobby/regular daily pastime. Could be renovating/decorating, or could be creating something with paint/materials. Self doubt going on a bit, but all up feeling like it is not an unreasonable effort. You have a greater potential in this, its hidden but will be revealed at some stage much later like years away. There is a grandmother aspect to this house and its relationships through the chart - it will be like melting a dense dry/cold, cold block of ice on the interior. Probably will never really fully melt but will definitely melt somewhat. There's more to this house, but I can't read it. I think you could betray a friend, but you feel justified, possibly they made you feel not good enough, maybe they made you feel they would take your man. All up a very busy, interesting, transformative, strong year. I am actually a teacher/education consultant and have recently set up a non-profit company to develop and publish multi media resources for schools. I may also be volunteering for a healing group soon.

Exactly right! I am working on a project I started a while back which incudes film I shot in different parts of India. This is new, ground breaking and will need all of the above. It also fits what comes later.

This ties in with the above, if this is referring to work. I do want to take my documentary film work much further and make fantastic resources for schools aimed at sustainability, respecting other cultures etc, in the context of indigenous arts. It is visionary in many respects.

My dilemma is to what degree should one adapt – would that be letting go of what is essential to one’s identity whist one is trying to hold on to happiness at any cost? Hopefully, the year will tell. It seems to relate to what you said about the 8th house and 10th too.

The man could be my very difficult brother – I have to sort out family legal things with him.

I moved house 6 months ago and the neighbor has two noisy young kids whom I hear a lot. The move has been a new beginning and am trying hard to get fit, look better etc. which is all related to the new bf and trying to be desirable. I also love how you describe this in relation to the 11th house – building “a shiny shellac exoskeleton to take you into your future”. Yes, concentrating hard on the exterior.

No horse of any kind in my life, but have recently joined a latin dance class and of course am decorating the new house.

Really good to hear this. It fits in with the fact that I will need to study at a local university, which, however, is far more convenient than the better course at a more prestigious University much further away.

I wrote as if it was current. You probably have a lot in the works anyway. If you put up your current solar return chart that commenced on your 2012 birthday it might be interesting to have a look because you still have several months of this SR year and the 2013/2014 is the next year from the 2013 birthday.

So if you haven't done it before, you have to enter in last year's birthday in the part saying 'start date....', and you can modify your reference place if it is different from your birthplace. For example if you live in a different town or whatever to your birthplace you can modify it.

Sun conjunct Saturn – feel the need to control my impulses in personal relationships. Uncertainty about being accepted;
Sun trine Neptune – on a quest, searching for answers, a higher meaning in life;
Asc trine Jupiter – good time to start a new venture, resolve legal matters;
Jupiter conjunct IC – success with making structural changes, decoration in the home, possible extensions.

I often forget to notice dates, genders etc too.

Anyway, looking at the current solar return. Interesting to note you still have moon impacting the 1st house and in a water sign so already there is a consistency. Look at the large 1st and 7th houses and compare it to next year's and the Sun is in the 8th and Mars conjunct the MC opposing Jupiter on the IC. So I guess you could have a big focus on you and partnerships and what is shared between you, as well as there being maybe parental issues and home versus career/goals kind of themes. This would also show that legal/home/shared proceedings that you mentioned being sorted out. And possible extensions etc like you indicated. You may have considered moving and living overseas, buying property etc, with next year's SR I don't think you will as mars has switched sides and is fully motivating your home seen and Jupiter is in the 1st so it seems to me anyway that you are going to stay put and work on yourself rather than go somewhere else.

With Moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces in the first, this has the strong feel of films that you mentioned and perhaps you would like to be recognised for having done this yourself and maybe reap some rewards and recognition, Mars opposing Jupiter, traditional ruler of Pisces.

The Mars-Jupiter opposition has a bit of a feel like it has something to do with your brother too because there is a definite kind of throwing one's weight around feeling to it, probably on the part of your brother that you may well look up to.

The true node is in the 9th in Scorpio conjunct Mercury and this probably indicates that you need to explore the direction of perhaps higher legal advice and maybe even those tertiary options.

The Sun-Saturn conjunction in the eighth shows your focus on reinforcing your identity and maintaining boundaries and what you are prepared to put up with and what you won't put up with anymore - as mentioned. You also might draw a line in a few areas and say 'that's all I'm prepared to do - like it or lump it'.

You may consider moving but I don't think you will, oh, I wrote that already, anyway,instead I think you will move upwards and inwards so to speak and this is where you will consider the changes with higher education and improving things in line with your aspirations and what you really want to do for yourself. Initially you may have considered educating yourself at home by a home study course.

In this chart there is a strong wish element going on with the Aquarius/Pisces mix in the first house. You are still really attached to a mode of relating/being and hoping things will progress in a certain way. The reality of the situation is sitting up there in the Sun-Saturn conjunction however in the 8th house and so there will probably be a serious realization and obliteration of some of your previous hopes and dreams related to home and relationships because Sun is ruling the 7th house and Moon is sitting in the 1st, and as said they are really big houses so taking a lot of your attention and orientation this year.

Saturn is ruling the 12th house and Pluto is positioned in the 11th. So again we see reality and restrictions/modifications necessary to some of your underlying motivations and dreams and total obliteration sometimes of a few of your hopes, ideals and wishes (Pluto in 11th ruled by Saturn).

So this year is a shake up, a reality check, and a reorientation phase, because with some of the insights and progress made this year, you can see how next year the size of the houses and the position of the moon and the sun is indicating that you are saying to yourself, well who am I really, what is it that I'm really after, and what do I want to get involved in. You'll be pulling up those emotions from the 12th and as said previously, they will be driving next year's SR chart and ASC. The big 11th and 5th houses and with Sun in the 5th next yr too, this is indicating that you will be focused on what you like to do for fun, plus casual relationships, groups and friends.

With 6th and 12th houses next yr also massive and with Venus in the 6th and as said Moon also posited in the 12th but right up there at the ascendant, you will be doing a lot of what you like to do in your daily routines and there is that publishing/foreign subjects/love of other places feel like you have mentioned, that sees you putting a lot of time and resources into doing that film/educational resources thing connected to your trip to India. Jupiter as mentioned is also in your first and quincunx Venus here, so you may find you need to get approval for some of the content or abide by some kind of guidelines - I think that will turn out ok though.

Saturn in next year's SR will be a bit of a damper on relationships and communications with others, however the trines to the angles indicate to me that this is beneficial to you as it seems to sort out your priorities, give you a bit of time, and has a healing quality to it that is helpful in getting you over a rough patch. As mentioned in the first blurb, you will have times when you feel a bit raw, and will feel like crying out, please stop, this has hurt, but in the next SR it shows its more of an aftermath and the healing process is definitely there.

You will feel a bit swamped though sometimes when you are reflecting and going over old dreams and memories - you will be ok though as there is such a dynamic zeitgeist in next year's chart - no stopping you really, very progressive and has a distinct modern slant to it, that I think speaks major attractive ability and enticement gaining momentum.
