I'm in serious, serious heartache about how my hairstyle and my appearance have been going downhill so much. It might sound trivial, but I have a lot of self-esteem problems and have always been sensitive to my looks. It might sound like a silly thing to be upset about, but I used to have long, beautiful hair, and since deciding to get it cut shorter my life has been a NIGHTMARE.

I went to three - yes, three - different people over the course of one and a half months and my hair has gone from bad to worse. My hair has been butchered from yesterday's most recent appointment to fix previous mistakes from the 2nd hair dresser and it's way too short. The first time the hairdresser whom I have really always trusted and loved for 3 years really betrayed me by acting mean and just cutting it bluntly off and not how I wanted at all, despite knowing how to cut it before. My heart, as I said, is broken.

I lost my rider waite deck, and I don't really want to pull my own cards since my energies are awful. If anyone - anyone could help me, to just give me a little hope that I can get through this really emotionally troubling time, I will be forever grateful, seriously. I haven't felt this low about my self and self-esteem for years.

i can't do tarot for you or anything, but it's ok to want to look good. most women have that concern. i have about 14 wigs, so on bad hair days i pick one of those and wear it, to work, out on the town, etc. you can get a really inexpensive wig on ebay or fake bangs or something until your hair grows out, or nice hats... it could be a time to change your style a bit until it can be corrected :-) all is not lost!

Thanks for trying to make me feel better but I attend public school and everyone will make fun of me and think I am nuts if I wear a wig. Extensions are a different story I guess. But I just don't know what to do. My life is essentially over.

Hi SS,

I pulled 3 angel cards for you and here are the messages:

1) Who is with you:

Archangel Raphael
Message: I am helping you heal physical challenges in yourself and others. You are a healer like me.

2) Message from your angel or departed one:

Archangel Gabriel
Message:You have an important life purpose involving communication and the arts. Please don't allow insecurities to hold you back. I will help you.

3) How your angel is helping you:

Bethany
Message:When you take excellent care of yourself everyone benefits. Give yourself a relaxing treat today, such as a massage, a sea salt bath, or pedicure.

Further message - Take steps right now and create time for relaxation. You will feel happier and have more peace of mind as a result.

Hope this helps.

These are all really calming cards. Thank you for taking time to pull them. I can relate to them all, especially Gabriel, since I am going to try to become a published author and will go to college for it soon. I just feel so sad inside. Maybe Bethany means that I should just get it out of my mind and take some attivan or something like a relaxer. I just feel so upset. Maybe a bath could be good.

Really short haircuts are kinda the thing that is IN right now. Maybe check out some pics of trendy short haircuts online and go with one of those until your hair grows out? Bad haircuts are the worst but once it's gone its gone, maybe its time for something new & drastic - just had a new moon and the Chinese New Year after all

I guess I could. It is just the distressing matter of finding a better hair stylist and ever trusting anyone to cut it again that worries me. Luckily my hair grows very quickly, close to an inch a month, but it is still really distressing to me, the whole thing. I just feel embarrassed about it. I feel duped and deceived. It's even worse because the stylist and I hit it off a lot as people - she just didn't cut my hair the way I really want it, although it doesn't look really 'bad' per say. It just isn't my desired look.

I think I'm going to use mousse and try to spike it or something. I guess there is nothing I can do but hope it thickens out and gets a few inches longer. It's not like I want to have very long hair again - it was pretty but not my thing. I just want the right kind of short look. I think next time I go in 1-2 months I will bring a fam. member with me and have them sit and watch what the hair stylist is doing. That's literally how bad a lot of them are around here.

First off I want to say that was aweful for your hair dresser to do that to you, theres no reason for her to do that to someone who put their trust in her for that long. What other things you could try is mabe wear your hair in a tight twist, depending on just how short it is, if your a hat person you could get yourself a couple of fashionable hats. Since its now still winter time no one will think any different. Now heres a real extreme suggestion if you are in a hurry for your hair to get longer quickly. I use to do this alot to grow my hair out, it called high frequency treatment and you can call your local beauty schools to see if they have this procedure. Only beauty schools do this as its not a popular enough treatment for typical salons. I use to get this done and my hair got longer in a shorter period of time, it wont give you all your hair back, but it will help grow out of the state its in now. Hope it works out for you

Another thing you can also try to grow it out is something called Bhringraj Oil, its an Indian oil that's used to grow hair, its not as fast but it does get it healthy to grow better.

I have to go to public school for a few more months and hats are out of the option sadly. Also it is too short to even put back. Thanks for suggesting the treatment, it sounds interest and I might look into it. <3

This also sounds interesting, thanks for all the excellent ideas. I like using these sorts of products on my hair so maybe it'll work.
